I’ve realized that if I eat good, I feel good and when I feel good, I am pretty got damn unstoppable. Focus is on point and my body moves so effortlessly. No bs! Just delicious, nutrient dense food nature has provides us with 💪🏼

Intense training (boot camps, 30 day challenges, etc) and diets work in the beginning because your body isn’t used to the demand it’s under, but there will come a time when you will hit a plateau. Do you have a plan for when that time comes? Or are you going to stay in that vicious exercise/diet cycle that’s causing more harm than good?

Exercise is very beneficial during pregnancy, whether or not a woman was already exercising before she became pregnant.

Exercise during pregnancy:
- prevents excess weight gain
- reduces risk of gestational diabetes
- decreases risk of high blood pressure associated with pregnancy
- decreases risk of low back pain
- decreases risk of urinary incontinence
- prevents or improves symptoms of depression
- maintains physical fitness
- prevents postpartum weight retention
- may reduce the risk of cesarean birth

The key is to follow a safe and effective program with a well-structured warm-up to best prepare your body for exercise.

Build a routine. Build habits. Wake up every day and get used to being productive. Do this for long enough and eventually you will be at your goal without even realizing it ❤️

As we get older, we have to continue challenging our nervous system to be coordinated, fast, and powerful. We lose power twice as fast as we lose strength.

I used to think power drills were just for athletes, but the truth is everyone can benefit from power training. Skipping and sled drills are both underrated power drills with low risk and high reward.

Skipping for example, is easy on the joints but still demands powerful hip extension that translates quickly to gait patterning.

Everyday try incorporating drills that:
✔️ keep you moving fast
✔️ get you up off the ground
✔️ challenge your footwork

Some of my favorite:
Box jumps
Kettlebell swings
Med ball throws
Sled sprints

Train power now and never stop 💪🏼
