At this time the PMCAHOF committee would like to announce the 2025 HOF inductee. Congratulations to the 1974-75 PM Cardinal wrestling team. The starters that grappled that season were:

Brian Law
Dan Odom
Andy Bloss
Rich Eva
Bill Slutter
Bill Sopko
Rich Lutz
Howard Kerrick
Bill Grumbine
Harold Werkeiser

Other team members were Alfred Richardson, Bill Odom, Curtis Texter, Mark Landi , Frank Esposito

The Asst Coaches Ron Sparrow and Bill Forte and the Head Coach Ed Watto

The team was undefeated in leagues, winning the Lehigh Northampton Southern Division League and went on to an overall 12-2 record for that season. There was many great athletes on the team with plenty of accolades, accomplishments and awards in that wrestling year.

The team and coaches will be honored September 19, 2025 at the Friday night home football game. Additionally, there is the John Bush Memorial & HOF golf tournament at 9am on September 20 at Pinecrest Lake Golf Club. In the evening there will be a celebration dinner at Carrazza's Restaurant in Cresco starting at 6. HOF inductees , their guest, PM Cardinal administration, committee members and current HOF members are welcomed (for a fee).

Again congratulations to the 1974-75 PM Cardinal Wrestling team.

Congratulations to the Pocono Mountain Cardinal Hall of Fame Class of 2024: Ally Roth and Hope Christman! Hall of Fame Weekend is September 27-28!

Ally Roth is a 2012 graduate of Pocono Mountain East who earned 12 varsity letters while excelling in three different sports. In basketball and softball, she was named to All-Conference and All-Area teams. For field hockey, she was First Team All-Conference and team captain for three consecutive seasons. In her senior year, she was named Pocono Record Player of the Year and Mountain Valley Conference MVP. She is one of the top scorers in Pocono Mountain East field hockey history.

Hope Christman was a 3 year letter-winner in basketball (1983-1985), playing her first varsity games as a freshman. She holds the record for most attempted foul shots in one game at 19. She is a 4 year letter-winner in track (1982-1985), holding a 39 year old shot put record at 39’ 9 1/4”. She competed in Leagues and Districts all 4 years and went to States in her Senior year.

It was a wonderful weekend celebrating the inductees to the Pocono Mountain Cardinal Athletic Hall of Fame! Thanks to all who attended and congratulations to the Class of 2023!

This new class will be inducted into the Hall of Fame this fall! Please join us on Friday, September 15 when they will be announced during halftime of the Pocono Mt East Varsity football game which begins at 7:00 pm. On Saturday, September 16, our annual John Bush Memorial Golf Tournament will be held at the Pinecrest Golf Course in the morning, and our induction dinner will be held at Carazza's in the evening!
