Swanton Babe Ruth Stymied By St. Albans 13-16 Babe Ruth

Swanton Babe Ruth had trouble keeping up with St. Albans 13-16 yr old Babe Ruth in a 24-3 loss on Wednesday at Missisquoi Valley Union Middle and High School.
St. Albans Babe Ruth got on the board in the top of the first inning after Liam tripled to center field, Grant doubled to center field, Sawyer singled to left field, and Sawyer stole home, each scoring one run.
St. Albans Babe Ruth scored five runs on two hits in the top of the second inning. Connor singled, scoring one run, Ben drew a walk, scoring one run, and a steal of home scored two runs.
St. Albans Babe Ruth scored eight runs on six hits in the top of the third inning. A passed ball scored one run, Isaac doubled, scoring two runs, Westen singled, scoring one run, Jackson singled, scoring one run, and Liam singled, scoring three runs.
St. Albans Babe Ruth scored six runs on one hit in the top of the sixth inning. Sawyer was struck by a pitch, driving in a run, Tanner drew a walk, scoring one run, Matthew singled, scoring one run, Isaac drew a walk, scoring one run, Connor drew a walk, scoring one run, and Daniel drew a walk, scoring one run.
Jackson stepped on the bump first for St. Albans Babe Ruth. The starter allowed zero hits and zero runs over three innings, striking out five and walking one.
