🏴‍☠️ PIRATES WIN! 🏴‍☠️

Our Pirates went into South Columbus and came home with a hard-fought 23–18 victory!

We battled more than just the Stallions. We faced weather delays, a postponed game, a long bus ride, and plenty of adversity; but our players stayed focused, stayed together, and finished the job!

Proud of the toughness, resilience, and heart this team showed. It wasn’t easy, and it wasn’t always pretty; but we found a way to win!

Pirates start the season 1–0!

Stallions vs. Pirates

The Pirates traveled to Southwest Onslow for our second and final scrimmage of the preseason. The night featured multiple segments designed to put our guys in different situations and get us ready for Week 1.

⚔️ 40-YARD | 10-PLAY PERIODS

Both teams opened with two 10-play possessions starting at the 40-yard line.

Our defense bent at times but kept the Stallions out of the end zone during the first 10-play series.

Offensively, the Pirates struck first when Carmello Beasley broke free for an untouched touchdown run.

Southwest Onslow answered during the second period, finding the end zone through the air.

💪 GOAL-LINE PERIOD

Both teams then got four opportunities from the 5-yard line.

The Pirates punched one in behind another touchdown run from Carmello Beasley, while Southwest Onslow found the end zone twice.

🔥 LIVE SCRIMMAGE

This is where the Pirates really came alive.

Our defense forced multiple turnovers, and the offense took advantage, turning those opportunities into touchdowns.

The offense showed its ability to move the football on the ground and through the air, while the defense played fast, physical and aggressive.

Most importantly, the Pirates held Southwest Onslow SCORELESS during the live period, flying to the football and delivering some big hits.

There is plenty to clean up and plenty of work still ahead, but this group continues to show progress. Now the preseason is over.
