Day 1 update for the Carolina Freedom 14U:
The day may not have gone the way we hoped, but this team showed resilience, heart, and fight from start to finish. 🥎🔥

We came out a little slow in our first game, falling to Wrath 6-1, but the girls quickly regrouped and came ready to compete against East Coast Heat. Aubrey Meadows threw an incredible game in the circle, recording 10 strikeouts while allowing only 4 hits. The girls battled hard until the final out, ending in a 4-4 tie.

Bracket play against Lady Dukes Prospects gave us an early challenge, with a tough first two innings putting us behind 13-0. But if there’s one thing about this team, it’s that they never quit. The energy shifted, the bats came alive, and the girls fought their way back by putting up 10 runs in the final innings. While the comeback fell short with a 16-10 loss, the determination and grit these girls showed cannot be taught.

Sometimes the scoreboard doesn’t tell the whole story. Today was about growth, perseverance, and refusing to back down. We’re coming back today ready to compete, ready to fight, and ready to leave it all on the field. 💪❤️

Long day at the ball field turned up a silver bracket finalist finish! The girls growth was on display in this game….. came up short an older 10U team, but only gave up 9 runs to a team that has put up over at least 17 the first three times we played them!
