We are so proud of some of our Carolina Freedom girls as they take the field for their middle school softball teams this season!

We are so excited to watch these girls continue to grow, compete, and represent their schools! We know they are going to have an amazing season! 💪🥎

And we also want to give a HUGE shoutout to Mikenzie Whitley (14U)! ❤️

After an injury temporarily put her on the sidelines, Mikenzie found a way to stay connected to the game she loves by becoming her team’s manager while she recovers. 🥎🫶

Sometimes being a softball player means learning that there are different ways to contribute to your team. We are so proud of Mikenzie for choosing to stay involved, support her teammates, and keep her love for the game alive while she works her way back to the field. 💙

Different teams. Different roles. Same love for the game. 🥎

Congratulations, girls! We are so proud of ALL of you and can’t wait to see what this season brings! ❤️

Carolina Freedom 18U endured a hot day on the field at Walnut Creek on Saturday 8/15. After several tournaments cancelled due to rain, this team hadn't played since the end of June. With a few new additions, these ladies showed up ready to compete going 2-0 and only allowing 5 runs in pool play. Placing 3rd overall in their group, the 18U Freedom battled in a close bracket game. Having to come from behind to tie the game, these ladies showed confidence and grit to keep the pressure on their opponents. Coming up just short losing by 1 run, our Freedom 18U never quit. Close games like this can go either way, unfortunately it did not go our way that game. I am very proud of this team and how they handled themselves all day. I am looking forward to seeing this team grow together and what they will be able to accomplish in the near future.

Wanna give a huge shoutout to my 10U girls! 10 selections for PG All States! With two being first round selections early in the season! This being their first half of their first 10U season is a huge accomplishment! It’s had its ups and downs but the trajectory is only up from here!

Carolina Freedom 14U is looking to add two players to our roster for the upcoming fall season!

We are currently looking for:
🥎 A speedy outfielder who can make an impact defensively and on the bases.
🥎 A pitcher to strengthen our rotation and compete at a high level.

Our team competes in USSSA, PGF, Alliance Fastpitch, and DC Fastpitch events, providing great competition and exposure throughout the season.

This weekend didn’t end with the results we were hoping for, but it ended with something just as important—growth.

Our Carolina Freedom 14U girls battled through a grueling 3-day DC Fastpitch tournament, playing 8 games with only 11 players. Even more impressive, 8 of those girls are still 12U eligible, with just 3 true 14U players on the roster. To make things even tougher, we lost one of our players to an injury in the very first game.

Despite every obstacle, these girls never quit. They competed, encouraged one another, and showed flashes of the team we know they’re becoming. Every game brought moments of grit, resilience, and determination that can’t always be measured on the scoreboard.

Success isn’t always about bringing home a trophy. Sometimes it’s about learning, growing, overcoming adversity, and continuing to fight when things get hard. This team did exactly that.

We are incredibly proud of every one of these athletes and the heart they displayed all weekend. The future is bright for this group, and we’re excited to keep building, improving, and chasing our goals together.

Rest up, heal up, and get ready—the best is still ahead. ❤️🥎
