NEW JERSEY 2A UPDATE – CHANGE FROM YESTERDAY 🚨

Yesterday: New Jersey filed a motion asking the Third Circuit to stay (pause) the court’s mandate while seeking review by the U.S. Supreme Court.

Today: The Third Circuit has GRANTED that stay.

What does this mean?

⏸️ The July 17 Third Circuit decision is on hold for now.

✅ New Jersey’s current assault firearm restrictions and 10-round magazine limit remain in effect.

⚖️ The case now moves toward the U.S. Supreme Court, where New Jersey is expected to file its petition asking the Court to hear the case.

Bottom line: There is no immediate change to New Jersey fi****ms law today. The stay simply preserves the status quo while the Supreme Court process moves forward.

I’ll continue monitoring the case and post updates as soon as there are new filings or court orders.

🚨 NEW JERSEY 2A UPDATE 🚨

Here’s the latest on the New Jersey magazine ban and “assault firearm” cases.

The Third Circuit Court of Appeals has officially GRANTED New Jersey’s request to stay (pause) its ruling while the State asks the U.S. Supreme Court to review the case.

What does that mean in plain English?

➡️ The Third Circuit’s decision is on hold for now.
➡️ Nothing changes today. New Jersey’s current firearm laws remain in effect while the Supreme Court process plays out.
➡️ This is NOT a reversal of the Third Circuit’s decision. The court simply decided to press the pause button while New Jersey seeks Supreme Court review.

The next big question is whether the U.S. Supreme Court will agree to hear the case.

🚨 BREAKING – NEW JERSEY 2A UPDATE 🚨

New Jersey has officially made its next move.

The State has filed a motion asking the Third Circuit to STAY (pause) the court’s mandate while it prepares to seek review by the U.S. Supreme Court.

What does this mean?
➡️ This is NOT a final decision.
➡️ The stay has NOT been granted.
➡️ Current New Jersey firearm laws remain in effect for now.

The next major step is the Third Circuit’s decision:
✅ If the stay is DENIED, the mandate can move forward under the normal process.
⏸️ If the stay is GRANTED, the current laws will remain in place while the case moves toward the U.S. Supreme Court.

🇺🇸 Quick update on the New Jersey 2A case:

There has been a lot of misinformation about July 31. That date is an important court deadline—not an automatic change to New Jersey law.

If no motions are filed, the case moves one step closer to the court issuing its mandate. If the mandate is issued and there is no stay, the ruling could then begin taking effect through the court process.

For now, New Jersey’s current firearm and magazine laws remain in effect.

I’ll continue sharing updates based on official court filings, not rumors.

🇺🇸 Big news for New Jersey gun owners today.

The U.S. Court of Appeals for the Third Circuit ruled that New Jersey’s assault firearm ban and 10-round magazine limit violate the Second Amendment.

This is a major development in the fight to protect our constitutional rights and an important step forward for law-abiding gun owners across the Garden State.

The legal process is not over, and current New Jersey laws remain in effect for now, but today’s decision could have significant implications in the days and weeks ahead.

June 18, 2026. With New Jersey's carry law still tied up in a years-long legal battle, there has been widespread confusion over which parts of the law remain in effect, and what that means for gun owners.

New Jersey's carry law was passed several years ago, in a transparent attempt by the New Jersey legislature to circumvent the clear meaning of the U.S. Supreme Court's Bruen decision on right to carry. ANJRPC and other gun rights groups immediately challenged the law in court, and that challenge has worked its way through the courts over the last few years. A critical decision from the middle-level federal appeals court is pending and could come at any time.
