As we approach Christmas we wanted to jump on wish you all a Merry Christmas and a happy new year. We have been a little quiet as we have been recouping from a tough year, but fear not things are still happening in the Oropallo racing stables.

Well they 27J Is cleaned up, maintenance done and bars have been changed. Time to get er ready for king of the can.

Well Friday was definitely a learning experience for Joey. Heat race started 4th got stuck on the bottom and got nervous and fell to 5th. Started 5th in the feature would make it up to battle the leaders when a cation would come out sending him back to third. On the restart someone would throw a slider and he lost it tagging the inside wall bending his radius rod. He’d pull into the pits to see if it was alright and he said he could drive it. Next restart he started 16th and ran it up to 10th for our 3rd consecutive top ten.
Overall not a horrible night.

Well we brought out the yamaha motor tonight. The car does have speed. We have alot to learn with it. In the heat joey started 5th and finished 4th. In the feature joey started 7th and finished 10th. He was having a decent run then fell back. As soon as he pulled in after the feature he said something changed in the car and he felt it was in the right rear. Just a quick look over revealed the right rear tire dropped to 2lbs. Not quite sure why, we will figure that out Sunday morning when we wash the car and go through it. All in all it was good seat time for joey with the yamaha.

Unfortunately the 27J and Joey Oropallo will not be in attendance and Nathan Oropallo has made the decision to strip his 30nn since he has no motor and start prepping for next year. The 27J will be in attendance next week. We do have some new things happening for next year in the 27J. :)

Well we went to The Penn Can Speedway with the 27J, Joey Oropallo ended up missing hot laps and his heat do to an electrical issue that kept shutting the car off. With the help of Paul Rooney and gordy and Rooney racing we figured out what it was and got it fixed in time for the feature. Joey would start 18 or 19 (last) and finish 10th. Thank you to all our sponsors and fans that have stuck with us this year. In a year that just feels like if It can go wrong it will. But we will keep grinding through the rest of this season. Have some big plans for the off-season.
