What a night at DICK’S Sporting Goods Park.

On Saturday, August 15, the Colorado Rolling Rapids were guests of the Colorado Rapids for their match vs Sporting Kansas City — front-row seats, a packed stadium, and a halftime we’ll never forget.

Our team walked onto the pitch at halftime and was announced as Presidents Division National Champions. Hearing that over a stadium speaker hits different. Thank you to Caitlin and the Rapids for making it happen and for treating our athletes like the competitors they are.

Colorado won 2–0. Great match. Even better team night.

Nu-Venture recap — we’re still smiling. ⚽

On Friday, August 14, the Colorado Rolling Rapids were back at the Ga***rd Rockies for Nu-Venture Wheelchair Activities & EXPO Day — our second year at this event, and it might have been our best yet.

Michele Longo and the Numotion Foundation gave us a full court from 9 AM to 1 PM. Assistant coach Richard helped us set up and greet visitors while Coach Brian got chairs ready for anyone who wanted to try power soccer.

From 10 to 1, about 10 people got in chairs and played with us. Another 20 or so stopped by the booth to watch and ask questions. Out of those ten, we’re hoping at least two turn into real prospects who join us for our first practice of the season — that’s what days like this are for.

Thank you to Michele, Numotion, and everyone who chased our balls across the expo floor (sorry, and thank you 😅). If you tried power soccer and want to keep going — or you missed it and still want in — come to a practice.

Power soccer is coming to Cheyenne — and we’re looking for players.

The Freedom Power Soccer Foundation is building a new program in Cheyenne so power wheelchair users can finally be part of a real team.

What is it?
4-on-4 indoor soccer on a basketball court, played in power wheelchairs with foot guards. Athletes control every pass, block, and goal — no helpers on court. Co-ed, ages 7+, no upper age limit. Great for athletes with CP, MD, SMA, spinal cord injuries, spina bifida, MS, ALS, and related conditions.

No experience needed. Sport chairs available to try. Families, caregivers, and therapists welcome.

We practice at The Beast — 3 players so far, room for more. Athletes pay nothing.

Led by Coach Brian Broyles (Cheyenne), who also coaches the Colorado Rolling Rapids — 2026 Presidents Cup champions and now in the Champions Conference.
