We're just about wrapping up a full year of club lift sessions, meets, and planning meetings and WOW - what a year it has been!

Since the official launch of the Shikellamy Powerlifting Club in the Fall of 2025...

💪members participated in 4 meets, with 1st place team finishes at every meet that had team prizes were awarded.
💪9 athletes set 24 state records and 3 national records.
💪 we successfully hosted the first ever "Shikellamy Showdown" powerlifting meet.
💪held 2 bingos to raise money for equipment and meet registration fees making acccess available to any Shikellamy student.

To say we are proud of these kids and this club is an understatement. They've worked to build something special and all this wouldn't be possible without the help of our coaches, Bob Long, John Santagelo Hammerhead Lifting Club, and Brian Crowe. Thanks so much to everyone that helps, believes in the mission, and cheers them on!

Bring on year 2! The club is ready!

Like other sporting events... we kicked off the day with a playing of the national anthem. About 20 seconds in the music loses connection. No problem... our lifters just start singing it themselves! Kudos to member, Everett Purdy for leading the entire gym in singing the anthem acepella. What an incredible moment!

What an incredible first ever Shikellamy Showdown we had yesterday!

Thanks again to all of our incredible sponsors, coaches, volunteers, and Bobby with Bound for Glory Lifting Club and the NPL for helping us to put the meet on. We couldn't have done it with out all of you. THANK YOU for making this possible for all these athletes!
