September invites us into a new rhythm—and this month, we’re practicing loving kindness.

It’s easy to offer patience, understanding, and compassion to the people we love while holding ourselves to a completely different standard.

So perhaps this is where we begin:

💛 Speak to yourself the way you would speak to someone you care about.
💛 Give yourself permission to move at your own pace.
💛 Notice when you’re asking more of yourself than you would ask of anyone else.

Loving kindness doesn’t mean everything feels good or easy. It simply means meeting yourself with a little more gentleness along the way.

This week, notice the way you talk to yourself. Then soften it.

Come as you are. We’ll meet you there. 💜

This week, we celebrate National Dog Day, and our four-legged friends have a lot to teach us. 🐶

Dogs don't worry about yesterday's mistakes or tomorrow's to-do list. They greet each day with curiosity, enthusiasm, and an incredible ability to be fully present.

They remind us to pause when the sun feels warm, to appreciate a walk outside, to welcome those we love with an open heart, and to find joy in the simplest moments. 🔅

What if we approached life with just a little more of that same spirit?

Our yoga practice invites us to do exactly that—to return to the present moment, to notice what's right in front of us, and to fully experience this one beautiful life.

Maybe that's one of the greatest lessons we can carry off the mat.

🐾 Give your furry friend an extra hug this week... and thank them for the daily reminder to slow down, breathe, and enjoy the moment.

Reflection: How can you be a little more present today?

💛 September Yoga Schedule is Here | A Little Loving Kindnes

Hello, Beautiful Friends!

September is here, bringing that familiar feeling of transition—the days begin to shift, routines change, and we find ourselves settling into a new rhythm.

As we move into the month, I’m inviting you to carry a little loving kindness with you. Not just toward the people around you, but toward yourself, too. A little less judgment. A little more patience. A little more grace for wherever you are today.

And, of course, one lovely way to practice that is to step onto your mat. 😊

🌿 The September schedule is now open!
Come join us for movement, breath, stillness, and a little time to simply be.

A few September schedule notes:

No class Thursday, September 10
Saturday, September 12 — Shannon will be teaching
Saturday, September 19 — Kasey will be teaching
Saturday, September 26 — Shannon will be teaching

I’m so grateful for this little community we’ve created together. Whether you’ve been coming for years or you’re thinking about joining us for the very first time, there’s a place for you here.

Come as you are. Move at your own pace. And practice being just a little kinder to yourself. 💛

Kindly,

Kathy

Not everything that takes your time gives you energy. 🌈

Some conversations leave you lighter. Some activities leave you inspired. A walk outside, a few quiet breaths, time on your mat, laughter with a friend... these moments have a way of filling us back up.

Pay attention to what leaves you feeling more like yourself, and make room for more of it. ✨

When our own cup is full, we have so much more to share with those around us.

Reflection: What's one thing you can do this week that truly fills your cup?

08/15/2026

It may not look like much… just a pile of props after class. 🧘‍♀️ But behind these props is a room full of people who chose what they needed in that moment.

A block to create space.
An extra mat for softness.
A strap to explore.
A bolster for support.
A blanket to soften.

Every pose—and every class—is an opportunity to try something new. To adjust. To listen. To notice.

And sometimes, it’s an opportunity to let go of expectations of what a pose "should" look like or what we "should" be able to do.
Instead, we practice meeting ourselves exactly where we are.

That’s the practice. Not perfection. Not performance. It's listening, adjusting, and giving yourself permission to meet the moment. 🤍

Each day, we're given countless opportunities to decide where our energy goes. 🦋

We can spend it on worry, fear, stress, and "what ifs"... or we can choose to invest it in belief, joy, creativity, healing, growth, and the things that help us truly come alive.

That doesn't mean ignoring life's challenges. It simply means remembering that even in difficult moments, we have the power to choose where we focus our attention and how we respond.

A yoga practice doesn't erase life's ups and downs, but it can help us return to ourselves again and again. 💜🧘‍♀️🧘🐘🦋

Reflection: What would change if you spent just a little more of your energy on what brings you peace?

What we give our attention to has a way of growing. 🌿

Some days it's easy to get caught in the endless list of things that need our time and energy. Before we know it, we're carrying tension in our shoulders, holding our breath, and feeling disconnected from ourselves.

Today's invitation is simple: Notice where your attention is. If it's somewhere that leaves you feeling depleted, gently guide it back to this moment. To your breath. To gratitude. To one small thing that brings you peace. 💛

You don't have to change everything all at once. Sometimes the smallest shift creates the biggest difference. ➡️

Reflection: What deserves a little more of your attention today?
