It’s a longer one, but listen up: here’s the shin dig. We ran our heat race today. Started 5th and finished 4th. We were scheduled to start on the pole of a B-main. The rain came and they pulled the plug on the rest of the night. This is where things get weird. To our understanding, they have scrapped the remaining B-mains (ours included) and tomorrow’s LCQ. We will be given points as if we won the B-Main. They have 1 more qualifying A-main from today to make up tomorrow morning that will transfer another 8 cars. We’re not in that. After they have those cars in the Big Dance they will take the top 6 in points to finish filling the 30 car field for Saturday. Because we finished 5th in last night’s A, we are right on the edge of being one of those 6 cars. Right now our fate will be decided on the results of the A-main that will be run tomorrow morning. Hopefully we have enough points. To be completely upfront, we’ll need some luck. We really wish we could have had the opportunity to race for it, but can’t control the weather. Happy Birthday Kyle Quella!
No matter the outcome. We are grateful for all of the support everyone has given us this week!
