Here at Hankins Motorsports we pride ourselves in being our best everyday! Some days are good, others could use some fine tuning 👍. There is no doubt we love what we do and we are most comfortable living life on the dirt. It doesn't matter if we are friends or foe we will always be there to help in anyway possible to make sure your weekend passion is the best experience possible!. So with that being said, Gravity park beware, there is a storm heading your way!!! 👍👍😎. After 4 hours this past Saturday afternoon, we took part in rebuilding a car for this weeks special and let me tell ya it's gonna be fast!!. The joy of having someone come to me with full trust and confidence is a damn good feeling for sure!. It truly helps the continuous development of Gabe and Brodix when they hear and see the big car guys coming to dad for more speed and mechanical grip in chassis set ups!. So while changing a ton of things, i also explain every reason why with proven success and proven geometry/physics. The best part is the look on the driver's face when you say it's good lets go runnit 👍. Is it spot on? Maybe 🤷. Definitely going in the right direction and with a little fine tune here and there it will be gold!. But for now, the confidence is no worse than p5 and thats saying alot about the driver!. Gonna be driving a hot rod that is something he's probably never felt before so let's hope for the best!!. About that storm tho for gravity park, the pictures below are the icing on the cake boy's!!!! 😎

Everybody that knows Brodix Hankins knows his ultimate goal is to land himself in a non-wing Sprint car, so this last year he's been able to drive a wing BP clone go-kart. He has had the time of his life. He knows that currently in his class that he races he weighs more than the other kids/carts in his class so it's a hard truth that he's not going to get a feature win but every time he hits the track his main goal is to hit his marks and prepare himself for that one day that he gets a ride in a Sprint car. Brodix has one goal in mind and I can promise you this one way or another he will achieve that goal. Just yesterday due to some amazing people that are promoters at the Hill Raceway in Sturgeon Bay Wisconsin, he got to go out and turn five laps during intermission and when he was done he was I swear the happiest kid in the world. He has his own Tick Tok Channel or Instagram I don't know all these platforms but he has all of them and post regular videos of him cleaning or talking about getting ready for race day just everything knowing that he's not going to go out there and kick butt but he still has amazing Spirit every time he brings it on the track! This also makes me one proud mama and I keep telling him to reach for the stars he knows what he wants and don't let anybody stop you! In this video that I am about to post is him out on the track living his best life. He wanted to do it with the IRA guys today at the hill but their program just wouldn't allow it which is fine. Anyways it's not going to be tomorrow it probably won't be next year but in the future be looking for a young man by the name of brodix Hankins. Because he will be hitting a track in a big car!

Good morning race fans!!! Weekend recap-- we had alot of fun and the day was productive and smooth 👍👍. To start we would like to thank Tim Dorn for his passion of the sport and commitment to making sure Gabe can race!! After last weeks engine failure he gave the option for us to mount the laukitis racing clone engine and jump into animal pro!!! It was a success as Gabe had a clean sweep of p2 for the day!!. Tim wanted to see how the clone would compete with an animal inorder to try and grow the class!!. We definitely gave good feed back as Gabe was up on the wheel all day!. Fine tune gearing and clone will slice and dice with animal all day long!! Little Brody man was awesome as always for sure!! Yeah we are at our limit on achieving more speed to get him upfront, but in the end he is happy, loves being in the seat and man can he wheel his wing kart!!. He is so smooth and precise constantly hitting his marks while ripping that thing sideways wide open through the corners!!!. Having such a weight disadvantage sucks but he keeps tuning himself as he wants to move up into full size Sprint car Non Wing!!. So we have a couple more weeks left here at home and then we will finish out the year through the end of October in Illinois!!. So recap from Sunday, f**k!!. Brody looking very good again, and Gabe was locked in for sure!!. Gabe took 2nd in both heats and definitely had no worse than p3 for his Battle for some cash!!. Yeah well so much for that thought as green flagged dropped and just like clock work he was driven thru from behind before the leader even crossed the start cone allowing passes to be made 🤬🤬🤬. Every week he deals with this and yep by the same people!!. So due to track conditions, tower called immediate single file re start. So Gabe gets a moving quickly, moving thru traffic and in the top 3or 4 hold my beer we went from oval track racing to demo derby 🤬🤬🤬🤬🤬🤬. Again by repeat offenders,he was tire hopped, kart went over him showing its under carriage and then he was t-boned right in the side of engine 🤬🤬🤬🤬. So takes green flag again and yep couldn't get out of his own way, pulled off and after further review the god damn engine was blown 🤬🤬🤬!!!. Due to the HIT, the crank now has play in it and lower end knocking like Cummins!!! Engine #2 for the year way to go you sticker and cardboard plaque lovers!!! So at this point with one engine already at builder for freshening,2 here at the house blown his year is done at Little Buckaroo Jr Motorsports Park operated by Little Buckaroo Karting . I am f**king over it people

Well raceday is behind us now and some things good others frustrating!! We are very close with Gabe just battling inconsistent track conditions. Making it hard to chase gearing but we will be ok and get it tuned up!! The new start line tho is take it's toll on us as its a complete mess on the starts, people turning down on him every time creating him to either lock up on them, getting shoved from behind and turned so very irritated with this crap!!. Asked how this new rule was gonna be policed and attitude was given as usual because I'm right that this is a joke!!. So probably should fill front bumper with sand and handle business but in the end it's not worth it for sticker and trophy. Struggling keeping the boys in their happy place as it's just not fun anymore with all this bu****it!!. Brody man tho still killing it with driving the wing kart!! Getting better and better each week while developing precision of hitting marks!! Jacob had another strong day but in the end cost him left front spindle and tie rod!!. Special thanks to our great partner Arrow Auto Tim Dorn for fixing us up with parts before we left the track!!!. We are gonna stay focused on getting better each week and keep it fun 👍

Well recap of yesterday at Little Buckaroo Jr Motorsports Park operated by Little Buckaroo Karting . Gabe hotlaps-- looks great dude 👍 put 1st heat tires on and well junk!!! 🤦🤦🤦 Hey dad maybe tires little to thin never truly fired up 🤷 ok 👍 dad pulls out heat 2 tires-- well s**t junk!!!! Out of the scale shack we meet puzzled and at the same time my hand goes on left rear, Gabes on right rear!! We look at each other, holy s**t Gabe check the right front!!! Well should have yelled at mom to get the steak out cuz the right sides and left rear were ready to cook that beef extremely well done 🤦🤦🤦🤬🤬🤬🤬 tires fired way to fast and overheated both heats. Explains why kart couldn't het out of it's own way. So intermission is upon us, dad goes into trailer,pulls out feature tires but these are totally different than the others. One extremely minor chassis adjustment and we go line up p9-p10 doesn't matter we in the back 😂. Takes green, immediately i smile and say here we go!!!. Well Gabe drives first 6 laps conservative as he wasn't sure were kart's in front were gonna go or if they were gonna hit the gas or brake check him 🤦. Caution comes out! Sweet single file start here we come!!. Gabe smashes the gas and goes from the back to p5 but with zero criticism of call from tower could should been p4. But in the tower flagman had absolutely no angle to see the maximum 3 inch difference at the line so p5 is great for sure!!. If Gabe would use transponder mount on left fender instead of steering shaft that would have told the computer the last inch was his! So very happy ending as we shaved 1.7-2 seconds off lap times and kart was better than we thought when we unloaded!!. Notes have been taken not to grill at the track with hot tires 😂😂😂! Brody man was doing his thing all day in the wing, and we shaved another 3-5 tenths off with good adjustments!!. Due to weight disadvantage we probably can't get but another tenth or 2 out of it but the seat time is great and he is phenomenal with this thing!!! Gonna try a couple other tricks i have and see what we can open up but his attitude,smile and driving ability shows everything so he is in a great place for sure!!! Jacob showed up again in his journey as rookie!!. He is becoming more and more consistent with hitting marks and driving kart harder and harder each week!!! Cant ask f anything more as rookies can only go at the pace they are comfortable with while learning!!. All that aside we have been blessed with more great news as we would like to welcome kitty O'Reilly's, Arrow Auto and Denil motorsports to our race team!!!. We are so thankful for their commitment to the boy's!!! The friendships will always run deep and we will hold ourselves to the highest to show our appreciation of each one of them!!! Not only does this involve racing but Kitty's jumped onboard first after one Saturday night of cosmic bowling while watching the boy's!!!. Immediately the conversation was sparked, introductions made and the friendship grew!!!. So they will also be supporting the boy's within their bowling program as both of them what to compete at the highest level!!! So thank you all for continuing to support Hankins Motorsports and we will be back in action this coming Sunday!!!.

Well today was a great day and horrible day all in one 🤦. So we showed up, unloaded and had what we thought was a good hot rod for Gabe but it was upset. So he gave great input and we worked on it hard to come out in the feature starting p7. Well let me tell it wasn't long and tires fired up and he exploded to p2 with no effort!! We running p2 and working on running leader Trevor Reusch down and karrs behind us starting ass packing, door slamming so within one corner went from p2 to next to last on lap 12. Not very happy with how that transpired and honesty dont understand the need to drive like dips**ts for a sticker and trophy. So will re group and give it again next week. Thanks to Bryan Springborn we made great improvements for Brody in his wing kart!!! Gonna grab some bigger rear gears and see what we can do for more speed. Not sure why a 16-20 hp engine class is 315lbs and a 8.8 hp class is 350 but we are battling weight difference of 200 lbs so I've got my work cut out for me!!. Jacob was great today as well!!!. Had a great kart and is really progressing on hitting marks!!. He was running for p3 strong then rookie mistakes of pinching corners took him out with 2 caution rule so still very happy with his program!!. Gabby was doing very good today as we made significant changes to her kart last week and she is now getting use to different feel and reactions with kart. Battled fuel issue at first but Bob Patza Jr. Found it and we put that behind us. So thanks everyone for supporting us we hope for some better results in the weeks to come here!!.

Well mother nature won again yesterday 🤦🤦 ran heat races for all classes then it dumped on us!! Track was good,both kart's were good!! Gabe p2 with way too much gear as he was chipping half track 🤦🤦 whoops couldn't remember what was on 😂. Brody p3 as we made big gearing change to get more out of it and was successful!! Would have had more for feature if rain wouldn't have come! Thanks to all of our sponsors, friends and fans for the support!! This weekend off for the fourth so back in 2 weeks!!

Apologies everyone for being quiet!! It's been a weird start to the racing season as chaos hit all at once!! With that said we have been feeling good with how we unloaded this year for practice and opener!! We were very close out of trailer so we have been making changes weekly when the rain hasn't kicked our butts!. All three karts have been very racey and holding top 5 every week. Brodix has moved from flat kart to wing kart this year and it has definitely proven to be the right choice for him!!! He is a totally different driver and so much smoother along with comfortable behind the wheel!! Gabe definitely doing what Gabe does and driving very well but short some success as chassis of choice was giving myself and him fits by being way to finicky in the daytime race venue!! So i decided to switch chassis and go to a much faster, rambunctious kart and today we finally got to put it on the dirt!!. He is definitely happy with my choice and we made good adjustments throughout the day fine tuning it for him. P4 good spot but made one last adjustment after feature,took her out for few practice laps and feel real good. About next week!!. This year we have added a new driver, Jacob kaye has joined in for some fun! We have known Jacob for sometime now, and knowing his love for racing he has always expressed his want to drive!! So in the off season we struck up a conversation with his mother,father and step father about racing!. I then said the best place to start is in kart's so i have the chassis and tires to give him the opportunity if he wants it. Well as a rookie he is doing very well!. There has been some typical issues come up and i have been addressing them weekly and definitely making forward progress!!. Today was the day for him for sure as tweeks came full circle and showed good stuff out of the trailer!! Unfortunately in second heat great misfortune came to Jacob as shoulder/helmet strap came loose and found it's way into chain/ clutch and snapped the p**s out of his neck,locked up the rears while spinning him out to a stop quickly!! After going to hospital, telling a paramedic she was hot after some pain meds 😂😂😂 he is all good but gonna be sore as hell for a good week!! His spirits are still in it so he will heel and return for sure!! So yeah it's looking good for the future from our team so we definitely need to thank all that are involved with us!!
