It all comes down to the choices that we make. When we make them, we live with the results, good or bad, and when bad, we must learn from them as to not repeat. Developing a tactical mindset is an important choice to make, because thinking tactically has an impact on everything that we do. When in a restaurant, do you sit with your back to the door, and if so, does someone have your back? Do you park facing in or facing out, in the event that you must exit in a hurry? Do you have emergency plans in place for your home, where we tend to spend the bulk of our time? Do you take the same route to and from work or do you mix it up as to not be so predictable? Developing good habits is not difficult, and simple changes to the way we think can pay big dividends. Just because it hasn't happened doesn't mean it won't, so don't be paranoid, but do be prepared.
