Beginning this fall, Storm Lake CSD and St. Mary's School will share all athletic programs for students in grades 7-12, with the exception of dance. Participating student-athletes will compete together as the Storm Lake Tornadoes, with Storm Lake continuing to serve as the host school.

By working together, we can expand opportunities for students and continue providing a positive athletic experience for all participants.

Outside of these shared athletic programs, both the district and St. Mary’s School will continue to operate independently and maintain their own identities, traditions, academic programs, and mascots.

The Star Spangled Spectacular Commodores are proud to announce the Storm Lake Boys Basketball Team as the 2026 Grand Marshal!

After receiving multiple nominations from community members, the selection of the Storm Lake Boys Basketball Team as Grand Marshal was a natural choice. The impact of the team extends far beyond the basketball court. They have inspired students to work hard, be kind, and take pride in their community.
