This team was so special. We fought and we fought hard, down to the very last minute of our time together. Some of this team has stuck together for the last four years. Some left along the way, some joined along the way. We had some of the best games of our lives and we had some of the worst, but through it all we stayed together. We gained friendships and created a family that we will always cherish and have no matter what direction life takes us.
Thank you coach Brent for sticking with us all these years and never giving up on us. You have truly shown what an amazing coach is. You didn’t just teach us lessons about softball, you taught us about life and gave input and advice that we will bring with us wherever we go. You showed us how to be amazing teammates, but most importantly you showed us how to be amazing people outside of the game. You showed us how to work hard and fight for what we want. You showed us how to trust in each other and believe in ourselves. You poured so much into us and we thank you for each and every moment. We could not have asked for a better coach. Thank you for everything.
To Jamie and Eddy, thank you for every moment you poured into us as assistant coaches. You shaped us into better softball players and better people. Thank you for all the laughs and memories you have given us throughout the years. Your time and dedication does not go unnoticed. We appreciate you both so much.
To our parents, grandparents, siblings, family, and friends, thank you for all your support. Thank you for coming out to our games no matter if it was in the freezing cold, rain, 100 degrees, or hours away. We cannot thank you enough for the time you spent with us.
How lucky are we to have something that makes saying goodbye so hard. No matter where life takes us, we will always be a shock family.
