Please share! Last year MCHS leapfrogged over 153 High School’s in the state moving up in the ranking 75 high schools in a single year and earned the title of a “High Performing School” in the state. This year, we’re pushing to leapfrog even more in our efforts to ! Student attendance is vital this week and next to help us make that happen. A special thank you to all our families, staff members and community organization who support all we do at MCHS. We’re working hard to make you proud!

⭐️HOSA STARS⭐️

This week we have had several students go above and beyond. Our MNA students completed their clinicals and are ready for their boards!
In the past few weeks our phlebotomy students sat for their exams and we now have many new certified phlebotomists who are ready for job placements!

Our students in all pathways have demonstrated professionalism, excellent communication skills, and incredible work ethics!

⭐️ Jackson Winburn is also almost done with his EMT course while being enrolled in his nurse aid class at SCC and JUST obtained his certification for phlebotomy! Talk about DEDICATION! ⭐️

Big day for our Nurse Aide students! 🩺

Today marks Day 1 of clinicals, and we couldn’t be more excited to see them step into real-world patient care. This is where all their hard work starts to come to life!

A huge shoutout to our local Nurse Aide Instructor, Taylor Buell, for leading and guiding these students. We know they are in great hands!

We also want to give a special thank you to Williamsburg Health and Rehab Center for allowing our students the opportunity to complete their clinicals at your facility. Your support helps shape the future of healthcare!

Hands down, Somerset Community College EMS has one of the best programs and instructors out there and truly keeps students’ best interests at heart.

Through this incredible opportunity, our Health Science students are able to complete the dual credit course at the McCreary campus, under the direction of Instructors Zachery Starrett and Nathan Thomas, during their senior year, in the Basic EMT course while still in high school. Even more impressive, they have the chance to earn their National EMT certification before graduation.

This program doesn’t just prepare students, it launches them. Our students can walk across the stage and step straight into their careers, ready to serve their communities from day one.

We are beyond grateful for this partnership and the doors it continues to open for our students! 🚑💙
