On July 4th, 2020, I signed my lease and moved away from my parents to live on my own. It was a huge day for me, and I made that decision because I knew I needed an environment where I could fully focus on my dream of becoming a full-time powerlifting coach.

I made that choice during the height of the pandemic, right after losing my job as a personal trainer because in-person training had essentially stopped. I was on my own with barely enough income to pay rent or feed myself.

But I let that pressure push me! I did everything I needed to do to get my message out, build my coaching business, and attract the clients who were right for me. Posting on social media, posting my podcasts episodes, collabing with other coaches, refereeing at every meet I was available to be at, and learning as much as I could to be the best coach I can be for my athletes.

I’m so thankful I made that decision because now, in May 2026, not only do I genuinely love my clients and the business I’ve built, but I’m releasing my book, Why Women Should Powerlift, a book created to inspire more women to enter the sport of powerlifting and to teach them how to become the strongest version of themselves, both inside and outside the gym!

Comment “pre-order” and you’ll get the link to grab your copy!

I can’t wait for you to read it!

Every woman needs to get a barbell in their hands and feel what it’s like to be strong af 💪🏾💓.

I delivered a keynote with less than 24 hours notice.

Last month I had the incredible opportunity to present a keynote to in honor of Black History Month!

I received a text at 12 30pm the day prior asking if I was available to speak at 8 am the next morning.

What is so cool is that this was a moment where my favorite motto “stay ready so you don’t have to get ready” came into play.

I have been practicing delivering keynotes at minimum every other month for 2.5 years now.

I speak to kids in schools every week.

I was nervous when I realized that on such short notice I would not have time to create a whole new speech, but I used my resources from networking to partner with an incredible speaker who has delivered different keynotes highlighting Black History.

In the end, we got to influence over 100 students, I was able to hire someone for a paid opportunity to speak, and I got to strengthen a professional relationship with someone who knows that in a pinch I will respond and help as best I can

So I say all this to say, prepare so when opportunities arise you can accept them.

P.S. If you are a public speaker and love working with kids and are looking for opportunities in NYC, DM me.

Woocation x Sorted Chale day 4 part 2.

Experiencing Elmina Castle was experiencing the history that I’ve been told about my whole life in real time. It’s so different when you actually see and stand in the space of your ancestors and get a reality of what they experienced.

Thankful I got to witness, see and feel everything here.

The beach afterwards was the most beautiful beach I have ever been to in my life 😍

Can you point out my deadlift cues?

Most lifters know what a deadlift should look like.
Very few understand why each part of the lift matters or how to cue it correctly when the weight gets heavy.

Cues are not random.
They exist to create strong, repeatable positions and keep you in control of the bar from start to finish.

In the next videos, I am breaking down my deadlift cues step by step.
- How to hinge properly so you are actually loading the right muscles.
- How to pull the slack out of the bar before you ever leave the floor.
- How to wedge into position so the bar stays close and moves efficiently.
- And how to finish the lift strong and controlled at the top.✅

Before I drop the full breakdown, I want to know if this is something you want to see.

Vote in the poll and let me know if you want the deadlift tutorials next. 💪🏾

My TEDx talk is live!

I have been a person trainer and a coach for over 10 years now.

People talk about fitness and everyday, and yet as a whole Americans are struggling to do every day task and walk without assistance by age 65.

This is why I know that people need to hear this speech.

“The Key to Reclaiming Your Time” may be more simple than people think it is.

Check out my TEDx on YouTube!
