I’ve spent years on baseball fields across several states with my boys. I’ve seen them win and lose and had every emotion known to woman from the bleachers.
Yet, hosting tournaments brings a new aspect to the game for me. Sometimes, in the rare moments I’m not on the move, I get to watch baseball. Complete, unbiased baseball. Kids playing their hearts out and seeing them be - kids.
And then I see moments like this. Umpires that truly care for the kids and use tying their shoes as a moment to uplift the player, congratulate them on good plays, and teach them a little tip along the way.
I love the game of baseball. Everything about it.
But, I hope this picture I quickly snapped reminds you that they are just kids. And sometimes they still need their shoe tied.
Forever thankful that we landed down this path and are able to bring so many people to our little town to enjoy the greatest game on earth. And thankful for each of you that choose to play in our tournaments. ❤️
