Well that’s a wrap for the 2026 Pirates Boys Volleyball season….
What a wild ride it was for our boys. Honestly, I am at a loss for words, but I can sit here and talk about how proud I am of each and every one of our boys and all we have accomplished.
Two seasons.
Two trips to the KHSAA Boys State Volleyball Tournament.
2025 Region 8 Player of the year - Landon Nolan
2025 KVCA Boys Second Team All State - Landon Nolan
2026 Region 8 Coach of the year
A combined record of 22 - 14
But now, I have to take a moment to mention our lone senior, Landon Nolan, who was the cornerstone of that success. He has been with Powell County Boys volleyball from the beginning. When you think of Powell County Boys Volleyball, you can't help but think of Landon. He’s the true definition of a team captain, leader, athlete and friend. Always pushing himself, his teammates and even his coach to be better versions of themselves. We will miss him at practice and in games but he will always be part of this team! We wish him nothing but success in his future beyond the court and will be there cheering him on.
Lastly, I think I speak for our team when we just say thank you. Thank you to the parents for constantly running and adapting to changing schedules. Thank you to our fans for showing up and cheering us on. Thank you to the Athletic Director and all of the other administration who constantly handle the chaos we bring (sorry about that!). We would also like to give a special thanks to a few people who have helped us out a little extra this year:
