Avery McCleese has played for me in rec and on the Stafford Warriors. She is one of the fiercest competitors I know. She plays hard and works even harder. Her work over the past few months on her pitching showed on Saturday as she earned her first win with us at Team Virginia Mizuno Lamb 12U. I've loved watching her grow as a player and person over the past 5 years and cant wait to see where she goes the next 5+ years. Congratulations on getting the game ball. We are thrilled to have Emerie Davis playing with us this fall. Emerie played with me previously for the Stafford Warriors and plays for me at Dixon-Smith Middle School. She is a true utility player that can be placed anywhere on the field and succeed. She is always one of the first girls at practice and that practice has paid off. She had an ESPN top quality catch in center this weekend and held the outfield together in our first game. In game two she played SS and finished the game in the circle. Shutting down the bats of the Firebirds and allowing us to hold on to a 1 run victory. Keep working hard Emerie we can't wait to see what you will do this season and beyond. It's Game Day. Team Virginia Mizuno is playing Virginia Valor Cosgrove in a scrimmage at 6:30pm tonight (9/9) at Stafford High School.

The girls played hard. They finished runner up in the Silver Bracket this weekend at the Riptide Summer Invitational. A lot of growth in a short amount of time. A great effort in our first tournament. I can’t wait to see what these girls do this season.

The girls got their first win as Team Virginia Mizuno today at the Riptide Summer Invitational in Chesterfield, VA. They finished 1-1. They will play at 9am in the gold bracket semi-finals tomorrow. Let’s Go.
