Race Recap Benton Speedway 08-28-26
Brand new track for me. I went out for hotlaps and the car was pretty good but we kept pushing up the track. So we decided to make some changes for the heat race.
Heat race I started in P5 and worked up to P3 when the white flag came out I went to the bottom to try and make a pass for second and pushed up into another car which didn’t end well and a caution came out. I started in the back of the pack for the 2 lap drag race to the end. I was able to get back to P3 before the checker flag came out.
Feature I started in P5 and worked my way to P3. With 5 laps to go I was running P3 having a good run when the P2 car checked up and I move a bit higher in the turn than I wanted and got in the cushion and when I came out and down I unfortunately got my left front tire into the side of the P4 car. Which ultimately ended the night for both of us. I am truly sorry because the #4 car was a good car and we raced hard with him. Congratulations to Collen for his ending position unfortunately the results don’t show it.

Won’t make it to I-55 Federated Auto Parts Raceway Park tonight, but here’s a cool throw-back instead!

These pictures are from the very first time I ever rode in a race car, making laps around the pits at Tri-City Speedway back when I was a kid. The coolest part? The car I'm sitting in right here is the exact same car I race today.

Huge shoutout to Impressive Race Cars—it really says something about their craftsmanship that a chassis built back then is still keeping drivers safe and staying competitive on the track today!

What a day I had. I started the day at Walley's for a car show. Thanks John Laughney it was amazing I had fans come out and made some new ones.
Then I headed to I-55 Federated Auto Parts Raceway Park for the Christmas in July show.
I had a very good car tonight. Started the Heat race in P7 and worked our way up to P2 and it was a solid run. Which put me on the pole for the Feature.
I started P1 which I was not thrilled about as I felt like I was a lot faster on the outside. So I lost a spot on the start but got to the outside where I like and was chasing down the leader. A caution came out with a couple of laps to go and after the restart something just wasn't right with the car. On the last lap I had some kind of motor failure going into turn 3 and lost some spot and ended the night in P5. And push to the trailer from the wrecker.
Congratulations to Zeke Williamson on the win.
