Before finding our current location, we looked for almost eighteen months, and when we first looked at it, we felt so desperate and had no idea how we would make it into a gym. The space had been a welding company for over twenty years, never cleaned, and had no bathrooms.
At the time, all three of my partners had full-time jobs, they helped out the best they could, but we were on a solid deadline, so I took on as much as I could. I spent countless hours with a facemask blowing the dust off the upper beams. That green wall took me forever to spray-paint. I was by myself late one night, was on a high ladder, and couldn't reach the far left corner. I was so tired, full of dirt and dust, and couldn't figure out how to reach it, and I started crying. Next thing I knew, came walking in and asked if I needed help.
family helped us get the bathrooms in order. Then, the day before our grand re-opening, all the coaches came in and helped set up the equipment so we could open on time.
