The shooting sports world, especially trap, is a small one. While there are thousands upon thousands of shooters, everyone seems to know everyone. We travel together, share meals, ups and downs, milestone accomplishments and make so many memories along the way. While not a part of the Lindenwood Shotgun Sports team, our small trap world lost a young man over the weekend to a tragic accident. Many of our Lions grew up with Wyatt Sibley and their grieving is nearly unbearable. Our sincerest condolences to the Sibley family from Calhoun County, Illinois and to our boys mourning the loss of a life long friend.

Some of our Lions and recruitment team hit the road this weekend to compete and put in some work at the NSCA World Super Sporting Championship at Northbrook Sports Club. Thank you to Northbrook for throwing phenomenal targets and challenging our athletes! Huge shout out to the Dombrowski family for helping provide food, snacks and lots of encouragement this weekend as well for our Lions.

Lions on the Loose!

Shotgun Team Sophomore, Caydence Sievers has been putting in the work this summer preparing for the Miss Calhoun County pageant competition. It will be held at the Calhoun County fair on September 13th at 6pm. For the past few weeks Caydence and the other contestants have practiced their speeches, impromptu questions, a dance routine, and getting their on stage outfits ready. Best of luck Caydence!

Lions on the Loose!

This summer, freshman Gavin Guy had the opportunity to go to a dealer training with Team Sig. He also competed in the Washington State NSCA tournament where he won Junior Champion and A Class Champion in Super Sporting, and took home Runner-up in A Class and Junior in the Main. He wrapped up the summer with a family trip to spend some time with his little sister before heading to Lindenwood!

Lions on the Loose!

This summer Sage McKeough got a new horse named Parday. She also shot her first registered 100 Straight in Trap Doubles at the Indiana State Shoot and took home Lady 1 High Overall and High All Around champion. She represented her home state of Wisconsin in the Champion of Champions event at the Grand American, where she shot a 100 straight. She also made the Wisconsin All State Team.

I see some Shotgun Sports Lions

Multiple teams and individuals were recognized for winning national or conference championships during the 2025-26 season at halftime of the Lindenwood versus Charleston Southern football game Thursday night at Hunter Stadium in St. Charles, Missouri.
