This page was created to promote the importance of bringing back grades 7-8 modified and grades 9-10 JV football to SGI. Currently, SGI has a modified team (grades 7, 8, 9) and a varsity team (grades 10, 11, 12), but no longer has a JV team.

Creating a 7th/8th grade modified team and a 9th/10th grade JV team at Springville Griffith Institute provides a structured development path for young athletes.

The modified team allows younger students to learn foundational skills, build teamwork, and safely transition into competitive football.

The JV team bridges the gap between middle school and varsity-level play, offering 9th and 10th graders a chance to refine their abilities in a more competitive enviroment while fostering leadership and discipline.

Together, these teams promote growth, school spirit, and long term program success.

Please help in supporting a 7-8 modified and 9-10 JV team. Our kids deserve every opportunity to learn, play, and grow!
