Washington County Archery Team Finishes 31st at NASP Championship in Daytona Beach
The Washington County Archery Team proudly represented their school and community at the National Archery in the Schools Program (NASP) Championship Tournament in Daytona Beach, Florida. The championship event brought together many of the nation's top student archers to compete on one of the sport's biggest stages. The NASP Championship is the culminating event of the national tournament season and attracts thousands of archers from across the United States.
Washington County delivered an impressive performance, finishing 31st overall among a highly competitive field of teams. The achievement reflects the dedication, hard work, and determination demonstrated by the archers throughout the season.
Leading the Commanders were Alexander Higdon and Zoey Cagle, who earned the distinction of top-scoring boy and top-scoring girl for Washington County. Both athletes rose to the occasion by shooting personal-best scores during the championship competition, showcasing their commitment to continuous improvement and their ability to perform under pressure.
Alexander Higdon's outstanding performance paced the boys' squad, while Zoey Cagle's personal-best effort led the girls. Their accomplishments highlighted a successful championship experience for the team and served as a testament to the countless hours of practice invested throughout the year.
