The Commander Archery Team traveled to Louisville on Friday, March 13, 2026, to compete in the NASP State Bullseye Tournament held at the Louisville Fair and Expo Center. The team delivered an outstanding performance in their first-ever state-level tournament.
This year’s tournament featured 9,241 archers from more than 400 schools, making it an incredible experience for our team. We are proud to announce that the Commanders qualified for the NASP Eastern National Tournament, which will take place May 7–9 in Louisville.
Our top-scoring male archer was Alexander Higdon, and our top-scoring female archer was Cacey Jo Burress. Several archers also achieved new personal bests, including Alexander Higdon, Sophia Jackson, and Gracie Combs.
Next up, the Commanders will compete in the KHSAA Region 3 Tournament on Saturday, March 21. Twelve archers will represent the team at this event.

Huge shout out to our Washington County archery team on a great performance today at the KY State NASP tournament. They earned a qualifying score to be able to go to Nationals in May.

The Commander Archery Team traveled to Spencer County on Saturday, February 14th, to compete in our fifth tournament of the season- Cupid’s Last Chance State Qualifier. As a team, the Commanders had an outstanding performance, placing 2nd in high school division and another qualifying score compete at KY NASP State in March.
Our top-scoring male archer was Jait Youmans and Russel Riley, and our top-scoring female archer was Cecilia-Ellen Higdon. Several archers also achieved new personal bests, including Russell Riley, Cecilia Ellen Higdon, Will Montogomery, Destiny Cundiff, Sophia Jackson, and Landon Thompson.
Our next shoot will be at Bethlehem High School on Saturday February 21st. Jait Youmans will also travel to Madisonville to compete at the All A State shoot.
The archery team will be shooting at the KY NASP tournament on Friday March 13th in Louisville.

The Commander Archery Team traveled to took 11 Shooter on Thursday to Campbellsville for the All A Regional shoot for KHSAA. Jait Youmans qualified to move onto the KHSAA state tournament in March.
The team shot again on Friday February 6th, at the Annual Berhnheim Valentines State Qualifier. As a team, the Commanders had a great performance,
Our top-scoring male archer was Jait Youmans, and our top-scoring female archer was Cacey Jo Burress We had one archers also achieved new personal bests, Alexander Higdon
Our next shoot will be at Spencer County on Saturday February 14th..

The Commander Archery Team traveled to Boyle County on Saturday, January 17th, to compete in our third tournament of the season—Boyle County New Years Tournament - Bullseye. As a team, the Commanders had an outstanding performance, with the team shooting their personal best score in the high school division and has a qualifying score and is ranked in the top 100 in the state to compete at KY NASP State in March.
Our top-scoring male archer was Jait Youmans, and our top-scoring female archer was Ella Burns and who raised the all-time score at Washington County Archers for girls. Several archers also achieved new personal bests, including Ella Burns, Cecilia Ellen Higdon, Eion Roberts, Diego Alvarez, Alison Schafer, Zoey Cagle, Evelynn Lanham, Colin Walker, Landon Thompson, and Will Montogomery.
Our next shoot will be at Campbellsville on Friday January 23rd.

The Commander Archery Team traveled to Lancaster on Saturday, January 10, to compete in our second tournament of the season—the Camp Dick Robinson Bobcat Shoot-Out. As a team, the Commanders had an outstanding performance, with the team shooting their personal best score and placing 3rd in the high school division.
Our top-scoring male archer was Jait Youmans and who raised the all-time score at Washington County Archers for boys, and our top-scoring female archers were Cecilia-Ellen Higdon and Destiny Cundiff who tied. Several archers also achieved new personal bests, including Jait Youmans, Cecilia Ellen Higdon, Destiny Cundiff, Eion Roberts, Brandon Cheser, Gracelyn Lewis, Alexander Higdon, and Alison Schafer.
Not only did they bring home the 3rd place trophy, but we also had three individual medals. Jait Youmans top boys placing 6th place, Cecilia-Ellen Higdon top girls placing 5th, and Destiny Cundiff top girls placing 6th
Our next shoot will be at Boyle County on Saturday January 17th.

The Commander Archery Team traveled to Elizabethtown on Saturday, December 20, to compete in our first tournament of the season—the John Hardin Christmas Shootout Bullseye Tournament. As a team, the Commanders had an outstanding performance, with the team shooting their personal best score.
Our top-scoring male archer was Jait Youmans, and our top-scoring female archer was Cacey Jo Burress. Several archers also achieved new personal bests, including Cecilia Ellen Higdon, William Woodrum, Gracie Combs, Colin Walker, Mabel Raymer, Allison Schafer, Will Montgomery, Gracelyn Lewis, and Landon Thompson.
