With just 22 days remaining until tournament day, we are honored to announce that the Washington Wizards organization of the NBA and Springfield native Will Dawkins, General Manager of the Washington Wizards, have made a contribution in support of this year’s event.

For those who may not know, Will Dawkins is a proud son of Springfield, Massachusetts who has risen to become one of the most respected executives in professional basketball. His commitment to giving back to the community that helped shape him is greatly appreciated.

💜 Their generosity helps us continue our mission of providing scholarship opportunities to deserving young people while preserving Kamari’s legacy through education, leadership, and community impact.

We’re officially just 25 days out from the 6th Annual Kamari B. Williams Memorial Scholarship Fund Golf Tournament.

Today, we’re taking a trip back to one of the greatest moments in Springfield basketball history…the Cathedral High School State Championship team that Kamari proudly helped lead to a Massachusetts State Championship.

📸 The newspaper clipping featured in this post captures a championship moment, but the story didn’t end when the final buzzer sounded.

Many of the young men pictured went on to become successful adults, husbands, fathers, professionals, coaches, mentors, and leaders in their communities. Through education, opportunity, and support, they built meaningful lives beyond the game.

This past Saturday, the 5th Annual Kamari B. Williams Memorial Golf Fundraiser was nothing short of amazing! From the golfers who came out swinging, to everyone who packed the reception, to the incredible volunteers who gave their time to help us run a smooth and successful event thank you. 🙏🏾

A special shoutout goes to the many businesses and individuals who donated to our raffles and supported the event. Your generosity and kindness allow us to continue honoring Kamari’s legacy in a powerful way.

Five years later, and the love, laughter, and community are stronger than ever. To everyone who has shown up year after year from the very first tournament until now we are deeply grateful. You are the heartbeat of this mission. ❤️
