Back to the wide angles! Repaired footage from Bohmers RT66 Speedway 8/28. Last minute trip as always, keeps it exciting.
18s won the B-Main and ran 5th in the feature against deeper pockets until about 5 to go in the 48 lap feature. Powerplant shut off after ramping through the 3-4 hole.
18T felt good handling wise and I’m used to the rough. My powerplant had no pull at all down the straight in the heats, it blew the header off or my body bounced and broke it. Switched engines for the B which made a world of difference. Kept getting stuck in turn 3-4, nerf bar and rf spindle were bent to the moon before the B main. Accidentally hopped a LR in the B and didn’t transfer, couldn’t pass🤷♂️My own fault for being involved in the B. Me and Shane were leagues faster and didn’t belong there anyway, next time we’ll be more prepared!
Last outing here I ran second to probably the best in the Midwest so I was more than content about sitting out the A, especially in hindsight🤣Only thing I regret is the local hero trying to push me off the 3ft front-stretch drop for 4th in a heat after letting dude by. Everyone races on the same surface but ho-weee-mo-lee them boys destroyed some equipment in the feature!
Me and Shane went home with zilch, racing is like that sometimes! Had good conversations on the way home and landed in the driveway about 2am. Obviously the chariots survived and made it to more races!
Great 24 kart turnout for the clone class love to see the class grow again, thanks to those who put the money up attracting us, and anyone else involved in the event.
