Today, the Battle Creek Middle School family joined together to celebrate the life of Bexley, one of our own BEARS.
Bexley was a beloved student, teammate, and friend whose kindness, spirit, and love for softball touched so many lives. One phrase that became synonymous with her was "Be Like Bex"—a simple reminder to lead with compassion, joy, determination, and a heart for others.
We are grateful to Dirty Pop Soda for helping honor Bexley by sharing her favorite soda with friends and loved ones. It was a small but meaningful way to celebrate the things that made her smile.
One of the most touching moments of the day came when her softball teammates gathered together and "broke it down" one last time for Bexley—a tribute filled with love, memories, and the unbreakable bond of teammates who became family.
As we continue to mourn this tremendous loss, we will also continue to celebrate the impact Bexley had on our school community. Her legacy will live on in every act of kindness, every encouraging word, and every person who chooses to "Be Like Bex."
Please continue to keep Bexley's family, friends, teammates, coaches, and all who loved her in your thoughts.
