TEAM 8!!! MY GOATS!!! 🐐🔥
These girls finish 46-22 this season. A dominant run that has to be put in perspective for the time that was shared together before injuries struck a blow to the summer. To all that helped us thank you from the bottom of our heart. I will always remember this team for the resilience, determination, hard work and commitment they showed over a long season that included a long winter 3 days a week practice and 7 straight weekends of softball from May to July in various climates. Sports are a puzzle, figuring out that the teammate next to you is your asset not our enemy takes growth and maturity. At the end of the day that’s the hardest part, looking at all these student athletes hoping I did right by them on and off the field. We had many many accomplishments this season as this team was littered with talent and personality. They weren’t afraid to push the bounds of what the expectations were and that shows through the final tally of results. If you never go past the line, you’ll never know what’s possible. As some of this group heads for new opportunities, heals from injuries or prepares to continue the fight in the red, white and blue; I’d like to say that this team was THE team I imagined when it was assembled. The pieces fit perfect and when this squad was rolling they could really rack up the scoreboard. They outscored opponents +270 this year and played above their competition level several weekends to challenge and test their training. Every weekend they either made the championship game in their respective bracket or was defeated by the eventual tournament champion in the semifinal game. Talk about being so close to greatness. Respect carries weight and the way they carry themselves on the field leads to great matchups with the best. To say
I’m proud is an understatement. To all of you I am so proud of the young lady you started as in the fall and who you decided to transform into by summers end. I love you all and wish you the best. I am so lucky I got to be your coach and I learned so much from you that will help me be a better leader.
Thunder on me…Thunder on 3 ❤️⚡️
