Indiana Harness Company Saddlery and Leather Goods since 1920 Clint McGowen is a second-generation saddle maker at Indiana Harness Co.

A former saddle bronc rider, he enjoys roping, working cattle, and trail riding with his family on his ranch in the Palouse Valley. Clint's mother, Sherry Long, and Uncle Jimmy Brown have been involved in the performance horse world through training, competing, and judging. His dad (Grandpa Brown) ran a bucking horse operation where young Clint learned the ropes. Father Pat McGowan bought his firs

t hand-turned sewing machine with money he earned at age 11. He worked for Indiana Harness and raised and trained paint horses until his retirement in 2022. Along with custom leather tack, saddle making, and chaps, much of our work includes repairing tack of all types and is done by hand and with heavy-duty sewing machines.
