We had a great weekend. The hunter thought he made a bad shot with his bow. So he immediately backed out and called us. It took us longer to walk to the hit sight than it did to find the deer. He ended up making a good shot. The deer only went about 60 yards.

He made the correct decision. When in doubt just back out and wait for a dog.

First call of the year was a success. Really nice 9 point. The hunter shot the deer right before 6pm. He called me to let me know the shot was a little back. He went and looked for it only to jump the deer about 30 yards in. He did the right thing and backed out. We started the track about 815 and by 840 we had located the deer and we were taking pictures.
