This is personal for me, as I have a family of farmers.
You do not have to walk through this alone. Call or text 988 for the Su***de Crisis Lifeline if you are struggling with thoughts of su***de.
🌾 September is Su***de Prevention Month
Farmers are really good at saying, “I’m fine.”
We keep going when we’re exhausted.
We work through the stress.
We worry about the weather, markets, bills, livestock, equipment, land and the future.
We carry things quietly because there’s always another chore that needs to be done.
But you don’t have to carry everything alone.
This September, let’s check on the farmer who seems like they have it all together. Check on your neighbor. Your friend. Your family member. The person who hasn’t been themselves lately.
Ask the question. Listen without judgment. Stay a little longer.
And if you’re the one struggling, please know this: asking for help isn’t weakness. You are more important than the work waiting in the barn or the field.
Your farm can wait.
The chores can wait.
You matter.
If you or someone you know is struggling or thinking about su***de, call or text 988 to reach the Su***de & Crisis Lifeline. You don’t have to face that moment alone. ❤️
🌾 Look out for each other.
