I want to thank Drew Gibson and Chesapeake LL Coaches for the opportunity to speak about our platform at CEDCE!!! One of the first thing we covered was ZERO TOLERANCE of the F word!!! I challenged the league to adopt a policy of removal of a coach using this word while coaching our kids and I have complete confidence that will get done. I hope some of what we shared last night hits home with the coaches! I want to reiterate of how much I appreciate every coach that gives his or her time to the children of our community!! We are a faith based organization so I hope the message of knowing Jesus Christ as your Savior touched hearts and sowed a seed to a lost soul!!
People, we are in this together, Chesapeake, South Point, Ironton, Rock Hill, Coal Grove, Symmes Valley, Fairland and any of our neighboring communities, we can do this together!!
Coach fundamentals, emphasize hard work and sportsmanship and wins will come… don’t wish, get to work and have fun, enjoy this wonderful sport of softball or baseball!!
Most importantly, it is our team that prays you have accepted Jesus Christ as you Savior and you put God first in your life!!! In closing, love your kids, share this time with them and their teammates and support all our kids, they deserve our very best ❤️✝️🥎⚾️

ATTENTION: WANTED!!!
Wanted, at your local Little League…
Coaches who will give their time and invest into the children of our communities! We need coaches that will care for and teach the game to the best of their abilities and give effort to teach fundamentals to lay the foundation for the younger kids and to develop the older kids at their skill level and coach them to be their best! To not only teach good sportsmanship but be an example of what sportsmanship should be! How can a coach display sportsmanship without discipline, and how can you expect to have a disciplined team when the coach is cursing and ranting on the field? If teachers did that in the classroom they’d be dismissed!!! The field is your classroom… NO CURSING!!! It’s almost spring, please dedicate yourself to making sports fun and challenging for our kids, your reward, a lifetime of relationships with young people you helped be better people!!! Thank you to all our coaches that give their time… just remember…

Time to get ready for baseball and softball seasons, practice and team activities are officially open so get ready for an exciting 2026 season!!! At CEDCE we’re anxious to see how our inaugural “ Freshman of the Year “ players perform… Kota Copley of South Point High School and Jacob Hughes of Ironton High School!!! What student athlete will show their talent on the field this year? Get your popcorn ready… let’s go!!! Good luck to all the local teams, players and coaches and their loyal fans!!!
