South Point Middle School Trounce South Gallia MS

South Point Middle School easily dispatched South Gallia MS on Monday, 19-4.

South Point Middle School opened the scoring in the top of the first thanks to two singles. South Point Middle School first got on the board when Brynlee M singled, scoring one run.

South Point Middle School added one run in the second. Olivia C singled, making the score 5-0.

South Point Middle School scored five runs on two hits in the top of the fourth inning. Harmony S drew a walk, scoring one run, Teagan A drew a walk, scoring one run, Braylie M singled, scoring two runs, and Rae R singled, scoring one run.

Kynzlynn C pitched four innings in relief for South Point Middle School. The righty surrendered two hits and four runs (three earned) while, striking out seven and walking six. Olivia started in the circle for South Point Middle School. The starter gave up zero hits and zero runs over three innings, striking out nine and walking one.

South Point Middle School collected 17 hits in the game. Olivia, Kynzlynn, and Brynlee each collected three hits for South Point Middle School. Ella S and Brynlee were a one-two punch in the lineup, as each drove in three runs for South Point Middle School. Rae collected two hits for South Point Middle School in four at bats. Maleah M paced South Point Middle School with three walks. Overall, the team had patience at the plate, amassing 12 walks for the game. Kynzlynn, Braylie, Harmony, Ella, and Maleah each stole multiple bases for South Point Middle School. South Point Middle School ran wild on the base paths, piling up 20 stolen bases for the game.

Caylee and Madison were a force together in the lineup, as they each collected one hit for South Gallia MS. Olivia, Hailey, Madison , and Kinsley each drove in one run for South Gallia MS. Hailey paced South Gallia MS with two walks. Overall, the team had patience at the plate, piling up seven walks for the game.

South Point Middle School will travel to Coal Grove Middle School for their next game on Tuesday.

Mandatory Practices Begin

Tuesday 2/17 - Practice 5:00 - 7:00 Turf Field
Wednesday 2/18 - Practice 5:00 - 7:00 Turf Field
Thursday 2/19- Practice 5:00 - 7:00 Turf Field
Friday 2/20- Practice 5:00 - 7:00 Turf Field

When the weather is 50 or above we practice outside and under the lights if needed, so please dress accordingly.

Home games will be played at South Point Little League Softball Field due to High School Field conditions.

Will we have open gym/conditioning after school again tomorrow Wednesday, February 11th until 4:00 in the MS gym.

While these workouts are not mandatory, attendance is highly recommended.

Beginning Tuesday, February 17th all practices are mandatory to play for the team.
