A little reality check about social media…

Having almost 36,000 followers might look like success from the outside, but these days it really doesn’t tell the whole story.

A tiny percentage of the people who follow me will actually see what I post. I can spend weeks creating a new artwork, sharing the story behind it, or showing the process, only for it to reach a fraction of my audience. 🙃

And yet, despite all of that, I’m still incredibly proud of this journey. From dreaming of being an artist as a teenager, to putting that dream aside for years, to now having almost 100 surfboard artworks out in the world and making art my career — it’s been quite a ride.

Social media has changed so much, but the reason I keep showing up hasn’t.
I’m here because I love creating art and sharing that journey with you. ❤️
