“The Upstate New York Chapter of the NWHOF is proud to induct Howard Weller into its Hall of Fame. Howard has been the youth coach in South Glens Falls since 1979, the high school coach at Schuylerville in 1992-93, and the assistant high school coach at South Glens Falls for many years. Furthermore, Weller has been the Section II mat crew chief from 1987 to present and was the mat crew chief for the 2002 NCAA championships which were held in Abany. In addition, Howard has been active in the Friends of Section II Wrestling, South Glens Falls youth wrestling program, and was selected into the South Glens Falls Bulldog Pride Hall of Fame in 2023. NYSPHSAA Wrestling Chairman, Marty Sherman stated this about Howard, “Howard has devoted his life to wrestling, he organized the South Glens Falls Wrestling Hall of Fame and infinitely works to promote the sport of wrestling at all levels.” Wrestling has been a big part of Howard’s life for over 50 years.””

This year SGF is welcoming home TWO NYWAY Champs, a Runner-Up, and a Top 5 finisher! What an incredible accomplishment and something our entire Bulldog family is proud of. 🐾
