Overall a good week learning. We are focusing more on trying to run the top groove up on the cushion. Made both A main races. Finished p9 out of 29 cars in A non wing and finished p17 out of 33 in outlaw non wing. Driver got lots of laps this week. He raced 2 heat races, 2 B main’s, and 2 A main’s this weekend. Plus two hot lap sessions and qualifying laps for outlaw. We made our goals for the weekend of making both A mains and running all the laps. Would have gotten the “hard charger” award for passing the most cars in the A non wing A main. Big thank you to Dave King for helping coach Austin on how to run the top on the cushion this week.
Also big congratulations to Jason Fuller, and Carter Whaley and crew on the win! Well deserved

Outlaw non wing

Heat p3-p4

B feature p2-p7 (spun with 2 laps to go racing for a transfer spot) top 4 advanced to the A main

A non wing

Heat p1-p1

A main p5- p9

Overall feel like we took a step in the right direction. Had a fuel pump go out when we went to hot lap so we missed out on practice for both classes. Thanks to Wayne Miller for coming over and confirming what we thought was a bad fuel pump. Both heat races were good. We were able to pick up a heat race win which was a great feeling in the stock A class. Outlaw ran decent. Although not impossible it is tough to run a stock class engine with the outlaw guys but we were competitive for sure. Was racing for a transfer spot in the B main when our driver made a mistake and spun out. ( no big deal) nothing was wrecked. A main started p5 in the stock class we ran top 6 most of the race. At the end fell back a few to p9 out of 25 cars. Still a solid finish in a tough field. Thank you to everyone that helps get us to the racetrack and supports us!

This week we decided to pull the wing out of retirement. Hot laps was ok. Heat race drew the pole and finished a solid p2 against some great cars. Car was really good. Feature started p6 and ran p7. All in all was a good race for the first time with a wing for the year.
During the A we were not as good as we were in the heat and finished p7 with a cooling fan malfunction.
Special thanks to Brad at momentum for some set up advice as in the heat it was very good.
A non wing we knew was going to be an uphill battle. Besides having always stout competition we drew dead last starting in a heat with a lot of really good competition. In the heat race we were not very good and finished in the back setting us up for a start deep in the B feature at p12. After a very “racey” B feature we were able to work up to p7 and make the A main. In the A main we were able to finish p13 out of the 29 cars that checked in for the day.
Special thanks to Gavin Robertson Racing guys for helping us with our cooling fan issues before the 2nd feature of the night. Also special thank you to Wayne miller. He has been helping us the last few weeks and his help is much appreciated.
