We are a support group of concerned citizens, people with diverse interests and backgrounds, but with a common thread - we care about and have a vested interest in our local community park. We are walkers, runners, bike riders, nature enthusiasts, parents and grandparents, schoolchildren, youth sports participants, soccer moms and dads, baseball/softball moms and dads, football moms and dads, volunteers, and business owners. What brings us together is the beauty, recreational value and economical possibilities East Lake Community Park provides for our wonderful community. We recognize East Lake Community Park as a valuable community resource. A resource that offers healthy physical benefits as well as provides a place for the children of our community to experience activities in a green space, that teach values and respect, therefore teaching them to value and respect our community. Improvements are steadily being made. The new fire station is currently being built. A new library is in the works and eventually, our park will connect to the Wekiva Trail. This page has been created to generate buzz in our community about our beautiful, yet unfinished park. We plan on incorporating it as a not-for-profit organization in the near future. We will use this page to organize and announce upcoming meetings, projects, events, and fundraisers for the park. Please share this page.
