The Soldotna Stars are your 2026 Shayna Pritchard Tournament Champions !
A lot of hard work, adjustments, and preparation went into this week of practice, and it paid off! This team played incredibly well together, communicated, made adjustments throughout each match, and most importantly, never let themselves get rattled . We are so proud of this talented group of athletes and the way they competed for each other all weekend!

A huge congratulations to Gracie Altobelli and Cassidy Kruse for being named to the All-Tournament Team! 👏⭐

And another BIG congratulations to Cassidy Kruse, your 2026 Shaina Pritchard Tournament MVP! 🏆🔥

THANK YOU SOLDOTNA!!

It was amazing all the work, time and energy put into hosting Star Valley this week in Soldotna. To everyone that contributed, thank you! It didn’t go unnoticed by our guests.

I cannot imagine being treated any better than we have by the good people of Soldotna, AK over these last few days. You have been so kind, so welcoming and an accommodating to our team.

On behalf of Star Valley, WY please allow me thank you for letting us sleep in your school, for the use your locker rooms and facilities, for feeding us not one but two dinners, for letting us use your equipment, for the gift bags, for the use of your sleeping bags/air mattresses/ cots, for the cheerleaders who gave every one of our players and coaches a lei after the game, for your help planning logistics (travel, fundraising, fjord tour, etc), for the buses and awesome drivers (especially picking us up in the middle of the night from the airport), for the vans to shuttle kids around, for opening your fridge/freezer/ kitchen and school, for modifying your school schedule to allow us to sleep, for providing places for our parents to stay, and for so much more! For the rest of my life when I think of Soldotna, AK I will simply think of how CLASSY you are as a football program, a school, and as a community!
