Social Circle Lady Bombers! 💣🥎
What a special way to finish our season!
We have worked hard all year to achieve our goal of becoming the USFA Gold Bracket Champions, and today these girls showed exactly what they’re made of. It wasn’t easy, five tough games against quality teams where the girls had to fully buy into the game plan, trust each other, and battle through adversity. In the end, we finished 4-1 on the day and won as a TEAM. Total group effort from top to bottom. ❤️💙
🥎 Game 1:
🔥 Defeated 5 Star Fastpitch 2034 (8-1)
An explosive 8-run third inning set the tone for the day! Brea Ellis crushed an inside-the-park home run, Lizzy Leitch drove in two, and McKinley Charlton added a huge double. Scarlet Phelps was dominant in the circle with 9 strikeouts in 3 innings! 💪
🥎 Game 2:
🔥 Defeated Monroe Mustangs (9-2)
The bats stayed hot with an 8-run second inning! Noreen Gul delivered a huge 3-RBI hit, while Taylor C, Maddie L, and Breelyn Johnson all helped spark the offense. Brea Ellis handled business in the circle as the Bombers kept rolling.
🥎 Game 3:
💔 Tough loss to Bulls 2016 Branson (5-4)
After falling behind early, these girls showed heart and resilience battling all the way back. Zion Broadnax delivered a hit, while the team continued to pressure defenses with aggressive base running and flawless defense.
🥎 Game 4:
🔥 Defeated SBL Pirates Black (9-2)
Another huge second inning led the way! Breelyn Johnson came through with a clutch 2-RBI hit from the 9-hole, while Zion Broadnax and McKinley Charlton each collected multiple hits. Brea Ellis added another strong outing in the circle.
🥎 Championship Game:
🏆 WALK-OFF WIN over Five Star Fastpitch 2015 (4-3)
Championship teams respond under pressure… and that’s exactly what these girls did! Down 3-2 in the final inning, Brea Ellis delivered the walk-off hit to bring home two runs and secure the Gold Bracket Championship! What a moment! 💣🔥
Several milestones happened today as well!
🔥 Brea Ellis and Scarlet Phelps both crossed 100 strikeouts on the season! To have one player accomplish that is impressive… but to have TWO pitchers reach that milestone on the same team is truly special. Their success is a direct reflection of their hard work, dedication, and commitment to improving their craft every single day. Congratulations ladies — so well deserved! 👏🥎
Another incredible moment came from our second baseman, Zion Broadnax, who recorded all THREE putouts in one inning! These weren’t routine plays either — they were heroic catches. Multiple over-the-head line drives where she had to fully commit and leave it all on the field. So proud of her relentless pursuit and fearless effort today! 💪🔥
Another Bomber Award went to Breelyn Johnson 🏆
Breelyn is the youngest girl on the team and has faced her fair share of adversity and challenges this season. But when her opportunity came today, she made the absolute most of it — delivering huge at-bats that helped wake up our offense and push us ahead. I absolutely love her never-give-up mentality and the way she continues to battle. ❤️
This team is something special. They never quit, they have incredible chemistry, and they truly believe they’re meant to do big things together. This season has been such a blessing to coach. These players, parents, and coaches have taught me so much about myself and the game of softball. I’ll cherish this team and these memories for years to come.
