Jon's NW Outdoors facilitates Bass fishing experiences as well as upland bird hunting excursions.

Jon’s Northwest Outdoors is owned and operated by Tournament BASS Pro, Jon Blank. Jon is an avid outdoorsman and tournament angler.

“I’ve been hunting and fishing throughout the Pacific Northwest for over 30 years. My early years were primary focused on fishing the area rivers on the Olympic Peninsula where I grew up chasing salmon, steelhead and trout. Later, I moved to the Puget Sound area where my primary fishing focus has been BASS fishing in the Northwest. My outdoor passion is diverse, ranging from all aspects of the outdoors such as fishing, archery elk and deer hunting to upland bird hunting in the fall.”

Jon has been actively involved in fishing the Northwest Bass Tournament Circuit where my partner and I placed in the top 5 for Anglers of the Year, and notably winning the Banks Lake Opener in April 2012. Jon has always enjoyed giving back to the sports he enjoys by helping others share in the success he has been blessed with. His purpose is to educate and teach those who want to gain further knowledge of the sport of BASS fishing, upland hunting and dog training, so they can be more successful in the field and enjoy the wonderful outdoors.

Scott and Ed new to smallmouth bass fishing, visited the land of the giants today and put some monster fish to the boat using St.Croix rods to tame these beasts! Good luck trying to beat those PB’s! 5.01, 5.12 and 4.12 . Not a bad day if fishing!

Kate and her nephews had an absolute blast today trying their hand at smallmouth bass fishing. Both boys connected with some good fish and even auntie Kate put some fish to the boat! Love it when the kids make it out on the water! Future pro anglers…………….perhaps! ,

It’s that time of year when the water temperature starts to drop and the fall feed up kicks in! Chris and Tracy boated some nice fish learning how to drop shot with the ultra sensitive St.Croix rods. Got to love deep water smallmouth fishing!

Steve did a nice job landing this Giant Smallmouth with his St.Croix Rod. PB for Steve and the quest for an over 6 pound fish is still on! Good times!

It’s that wonderful time of year…..pre-spawn big fish were on the prowl. Steve connected with some great fish today using St.Croix Victory rods!

A few days out in Okeechobee was fun. Lots of big name anglers pre fishing for the Toyota Series MLF event this week plus a college event on the lake. I’ve never seen so many bass boats in one place. I’m talking every marina and canal launch packed! It was cool to see but talk about fishing pressure! The guys will have their hands full with morning temps dropping into the low 30’s! Water temps in the two days I fished dropped 12 degrees! I was blessed to fish with a MLF/FLW angler to see the level of game they play. While the weather was not on our side we still caught some good fish! Good times!

Joe and son had a very memorable day today breaking PB’s twice! Love it when the big ones come out to play! Their St.Croix Victory rods were up to the challenge helping them land many quality fish today! ,
