The DCHS Lady Tigers defeated Taylor County, KY, 4-1, Friday in the opening round of the Smoky Mountain Cup in Gatlinburg, despite the heat, thanks to a hat-trick from Hannah Tobitt ( #30) and a goal from Evalynn Torres. The Lady Tigers will play Sequatchie County, Saturday evening, at 5:10 p.m. Central time.

CHLOE MADE TEAM TENNESSEE!!! 📢📢

DeKalb County High School senior Chloe Boyd has been selected to represent the Volunteer State as a member of Team Tennessee Girls Golf! ❤️🤍💙

Chloe received the call just days ago from UT Women’s Golf Coach Chas Narramore, inviting her to be part of the team — and, of course, Chloe said YES!

This talented group of golfers will represent Tennessee as they compete against teams from six other states in October 2026.

But this opportunity is about so much more than one tournament.

Being selected for Team Tennessee includes a year-long coaching and development experience, giving elite players the opportunity to learn from some of the best coaches, experts and professionals in the game while also serving as ambassadors for the state of Tennessee.

For Chloe, who has put in countless hours developing her game and representing DCHS on the course, this is an incredible honor — and a BIG-TIME accomplishment!

We’ll have more details to share as Chloe begins this exciting journey, but for now…
