Smithsburg Youth Athletics - SYA, Inc. Community Sports Organization offering youth elementary, intramural and travel teams. SYA has three sports seasons:
Spring offers Softball and Soccer. SYA Inc.

Smithsburg Youth Athletics (SYA)--originally under the name CSL--has served the children of Washington County, and the Smithsburg area in particular, for over 25 years. We provide athletic leagues for children in preschool through 8th grade and have grown to include basketball, spring and fall soccer, flag football, volleyball, softball, wrestling, track, and cheerleading. Fall offers Cheerleading, Flag Football, Soccer and Volleyball. Winter offers Basketball & Wrestling. is a registered 501(c)(3) non-profit organization, incorporated in Maryland, that seeks financial support and sponsorship from area businesses and individuals.

SYA Scholarship Applications Are Open

Smithsburg Youth Athletics is proud to offer two scholarship opportunities for eligible students this year. Applications are currently open through April 18.

Students may apply for the following scholarships:

• Richard M. Schultz Jr. Scholarship: This scholarship is for Smithsburg High School seniors who participated in SYA sports.

• Amy Everett Memorial Scholarship: This scholarship is for Smithsburg High School seniors who participated in SYA sports and
plans to major in education.

These scholarships recognize student-athletes who have been involved with SYA and demonstrate strong character, commitment, and community involvement.
