Strong Hitting Not Enough As NL Maddawgs Falls To Volpes Orioles

NL Maddawgs fell 9-6 to Volpes Orioles on Sunday at Hackett Park despite out-hitting them 14 to 11. Gabriel Burgos led NL Maddawgs with three hits.

Burgos collected three hits in five at bats in the loss. Burgos singled in the ninth inning, singled in the eighth inning, and singled in the first inning.

Volpes Orioles got on the board in the bottom of the first inning after Steve Sulcoski hit a solo home run to left field, Scott Garger grounded out, scoring one run, David Martin singled, scoring two runs, and an error scored two runs.

Martin earned the win for Volpes Orioles. The pitcher gave up 14 hits and six runs (five earned) over nine innings, striking out 10 and walking three. Zach Palansky pitched four and two-thirds innings in relief for NL Maddawgs. The pitcher allowed three hits and zero runs while, striking out four and walking none. Paul Serra. took the loss for NL Maddawgs. The right-handed pitcher went three and one-third innings, allowing nine runs (seven earned) on eight hits, striking out one and walking four.

NL Maddawgs tallied 14 hits in the game. Jayden Grube, Liam Meadowcroft., Brendan Little ,, and Serra. each collected multiple hits for NL Maddawgs. Burgos, Little ,, and Serra. each stole multiple bases for NL Maddawgs. NL Maddawgs stole nine bases in the game. NL Maddawgs turned one double play in the game.

Volpes Orioles tallied 11 hits in the game. Garger drove the middle of the lineup, leading Volpes Orioles with three runs batted in. The first baseman went 2-for-4 on the day. Thomas Vazquez led Volpes Orioles with three hits in four at bats. Sulcoski stole two bases. Volpes Orioles ran wild on the base paths, piling up four stolen bases for the game.

As we are working on incorporating Ads and commercials for between innings, there is the audio feature that we screwed up on last evening and ended up silencing the game play. NL Maddawgs Storm Back To Defeat Lehigh valley indians

Despite trailing by as many as four runs, NL Maddawgs rallied to best Lehigh valley indians 8-7 on Saturday at 7748 Penn St, Slatington, PA 18080.

Lehigh valley indians opened the scoring in the first after Conner Strauss singled, scoring one run.

A walk by Bradley Kibler extended the Lehigh valley indians lead to 2-0 in the top of the second inning.

NL Maddawgs tied the game up in the bottom of the fourth thanks to two singles. NL Maddawgs tied the game at two on a single by Dylan McDevitt.

Lehigh valley indians took the lead in the top of the sixth. Ray Estecumber grounded out, scoring one run, to give Lehigh valley indians the edge, 3-2.

A home run to center field by Andrew Kabrick gave NL Maddawgs the lead, 4-3, in the bottom of the sixth.

Lehigh valley indians flipped the game on its head in the top of the seventh, scoring five runs on one hit to take the lead, 8-4. The biggest blow in the inning was an error that drove in two.

NL Maddawgs tied the game in the bottom of the seventh thanks to an error, and a single by Paul Serra..

Brendan Little , earned the win for NL Maddawgs. The right-handed pitcher surrendered two hits and five runs (two earned) over two innings, striking out two and walking two. Zach Palansky started the game for NL Maddawgs. The pitcher gave up seven hits and two runs over four innings, striking out two and walking two. Strauss began the game for Lehigh valley indians. The starting pitcher allowed 10 hits and eight runs (three earned) over eight innings, striking out eight and walking five. Serra. collected the save. Jayden Grube appeared in relief for NL Maddawgs.

Brad Jaworski and Kibler each stole multiple bases for Lehigh valley indians. Lehigh valley indians had patience at the plate, amassing seven walks for the game. Lehigh valley indians stole six bases in the game. Lehigh valley indians turned one double play in the game.

This right here is the prime example of communication in the field. A shallow fly ball to left field lead to a collision between our left fielder and short stop. Neither player called one another off which lead to a collision and left a player “spiked”. Left fielder Mike Jerdon earned his tiger blood status tonight. Despite being spiked, he continued his next at bat before being substituted out for the night. Both players are doing good and no one will enter the IL list.

Get ready for a Palansky show down as Palanksy takes the bump to open this weeks game against the Lehigh Valley Indians. Palansky is looking to grab his first win on the mound as he is currently 0-1 with 1 save. Pitching Coach Charlie Serra has been preparing the pitching rotation for this weeks game and the Dawgs are looking to collect the 3rd win of the season. Head Coach Brian McDevitt is looking to lead the team to their best record yet since going 2-14-1 last season. With a sharp looking pitching rotation and bats starting to come alive, we are excited to see how the rest of this season unfolds! So Lets go!
