Strong Hitting Not Enough As NL Maddawgs Falls To Volpes Orioles

NL Maddawgs fell 9-6 to Volpes Orioles on Sunday at Hackett Park despite out-hitting them 14 to 11. Gabriel Burgos led NL Maddawgs with three hits.
Burgos collected three hits in five at bats in the loss. Burgos singled in the ninth inning, singled in the eighth inning, and singled in the first inning.
Volpes Orioles got on the board in the bottom of the first inning after Steve Sulcoski hit a solo home run to left field, Scott Garger grounded out, scoring one run, David Martin singled, scoring two runs, and an error scored two runs.

Volpes Orioles tallied 11 hits in the game. Garger drove the middle of the lineup, leading Volpes Orioles with three runs batted in. The first baseman went 2-for-4 on the day. Thomas Vazquez led Volpes Orioles with three hits in four at bats. Sulcoski stole two bases. Volpes Orioles ran wild on the base paths, piling up four stolen bases for the game.
