A week ago today we were starting our first weekend back at txsprintseries!

Friday practice started off great, we got faster every time we hit the track and were feeling really good going into the weekend.

Saturday brought a few more challenges. We struggled some in the heats but were able to maintain our starting position until getting tangled up in an incident during Heat 3, leaving us starting 17th in the main.

In the final, one of my teammates tytancookson389racing and I worked together and were able to push our way forward and I finished 13th. 💪

After spending the summer on the sidelines, it felt great just to be back out there competing and even better getting to race against such a high level of competition again.

First one back is officially in the books. Now we keep building from here! 🏁

WE ARE BACK BABY 🏎️

Super excited to be back competing in round 4 of the Texas Sprint Racing Series with Reed MotorSports!!

It’s been awhile since we’ve been down to Texas (thanks wrist) but we’re super excited to get back out there with the next level of competition 🏁

Summer may have gotten off to a rough start, but with a month of summer still left, the cast is officially off! 💪

I’ve traded the cast for a brace and have officially been cleared to get back in the kart. 🏁

I’m definitely bummed I can’t get back in the micro just yet, but I’ll take the wins where I can get them. 😁 One step closer!

Summer definitely hasn’t gone the way I planned.

Breaking my arm meant missing dirt races and several regional and local kart races, which has been tough. But I wasn’t about to let that keep me completely out of the driver’s seat.

After getting my hard cast, we climbed back into the kart to see if we could make it work, and we did! 💪🏁

I was able to race the last two local races with the cast, finishing 2nd in both and setting the fastest overall lap of the day last Sunday.

I’m getting used to racing with the cast, but I’ll definitely be happy when it’s off so I can get back on the dirt track and back to chasing regional races.

The cast is officially on for the next 3 weeks. After that, we’ll head back to the doctor and, if all goes well, transition into a brace for another month.

Recovery isn’t always the most exciting part of racing, but we’re taking it one step at a time. Thank you to everyone who has checked in, reached out, and kept him in your thoughts. We cant wait to be back to doing what we love. 🧡

Thankful for the Dad God gave me. He may not be my biological Dad but he’s the one that shows up, has filled a void. I miss my Dad every day but I’m thankful for Zack! Happy Father’s Day to all the Dads and to all the Mom’s that serve as Dad’s!
