The start of the various sports seasons usually means boxes of officiating apparel and supplies are delivered. The RefShop warehouse has been taken over by some other products as another 'season' has started. One of my daughters asked a potential customer earlier today, ‘Do you know what season it is?!?!’ 😆

Bought this after talking with a few crewmates... I was hesitant to spend $30 to add to a cheap ear/mic set, but absolutely love it. Easy to mold, provides a much clearer sound and makes it easier to understand even the hardest to hear person on the crew. It also doesn't prevent you from on-field awareness, as it is not sound-canceling.

How did RefShop come to be? It started with a football radio headset. Not just any headset, you can find those on Amazon. They are cheap, but the functional needs of a high school or small college football official aren't there. You get what you pay for. I wanted a better one. I also know that there are many of us who can't afford the $1000s a set like you see NFL or DI officials use. We need a headset that gets pretty close at a fraction of the cost. One that was being used on the field as we learned what works and what doesn't. One that was made by a current football official on the field during games in the rain, snow, day and night. There had to be a design for football officials on the field to communicate so they can do their job, better. After some testing, we came up with two models. The Pro and the Tactical. After the production runs, they needed a place to be sold. Alas, RefShop. Ok, so what else can we provide as a value add since we have the store? How about whistles? Fox 40? Yep, only the best! How about shirts? How about Smitty? Oh, you mean the ones that are used on every DI football crew? Yep, we got em. Why stop there? Our goal is to be the go-to destination for officials of all sports to find the right tools they need to do their jobs. 2025 was our beginning, but it is not where we will stop. Thank you to everyone who has supported this venture so far. I'm looking forward to 2026! - Micheal
