Our Cooperstown run has come to an end after an incredibly competitive Game 5. Our Dawgs fell just two runs short against a talented NC Prospects team.
But what a run it was.
They came. They played. They lived the dream.
These boys leave Cooperstown with a winning record of 6-4, but the numbers only tell part of the story. What matters most is the way they showed up for each other every single inning of every single game. The grit. The fight. The resilience. The brotherhood.
As parents and coaches, we could not be more proud.
This week was about so much more than baseball. It was about memories that will last a lifetime and lessons that will shape these boys long after the final out. They grew in ways that won’t show up in a box score—growth we’ll only fully recognize years from now when they’re men.
We came to Dreams Park hoping for a once-in-a-lifetime experience.
We leave with our cups full.
