Signal Mountain is the 3rd fastest cross country MTB team in Tennessee!!!!
🙌 29 teams and over 600 riders competed in the 2025 Tennessee NICA race series. *Both* Signal Mountain Middle AND the High School team placed 3rd overall this year in state rankings. 👏
SMMHS also has several individual state champions that placed in the top 10 in their respective groups.
🏆 First and foremost — Maxine Richards. Maxine is the most decorated athlete in TN NICA history! Four time varsity (+ one-time MS) state champion and winner of the vast majority of the individual events. As a senior, today was Maxine’s final race with Signal Mountain Racing team 🥲. We will miss her dearly and wish her the best in her new adventures!
