Our ‘25 race season has come to an end. This year was filled with trials and tribulations. Seemed it was a new issue every week. We worked, we built, we fixed, and we got through them. Made changes and adjustments. Decided that new heads and engine work is what we needed. So before Corn Harvest we got after it. Went to the track to practice on Thursday and never made it on the track carburetor was filthy and needed rebuilt. Took care of that Friday AM.
- Friday was heat races, started in the back of our heat, first corner of the first lap and cars get tangled in front of us. Timmy goes low to avoid the wreck and gets tagged hard in the right rear as he’s trying to get around the wreck and to make it worse he gets hit on the left side under caution. Car is broken and rearend was crooked used a screw driver to hold it to get it loaded.
-Saturday morning; back in the barn fixing the car. Get the mechanics taken care of and decided to listen to Jeanne and try to change our luck, so the car got a paint job! Went out Saturday and the motor is good, the Carb is good, the CAR is good! Only a few laps in and a car behind us decided to use our left rear to take turn 1 tighter, and took a hard hit. No flats and still going, but after that, the car just wouldn’t handle. It was pushing, and pushing hard. Later, discovered a damaged shock mount on the left rear that was causing the handling issues. We finished the race!! That’s a big deal cause we didn’t finish many races this year.
Huge thank you to Boynton and Arrow for the sponsorship this year. We wouldn’t have been able to do what we did without you. Thank you to the friends and family for the support and understanding with many long nights in the barn.
And remember kids… Dirt is for racing on, asphalt is for getting there.
See you in ‘26
