After 7 incredible years of passion, perseverance, and unforgettable memories, Badger Athlete Athletics will be closing its doors.
This decision did not come lightly. Coaching has been one of the greatest joys of my life—watching athletes grow in confidence, strength, and heart has been a true privilege. But as seasons change, so do our paths. It’s time for me to take a step back from the sport I love so deeply to spend more time with my own kids, cheering them on from the sidelines and being present in these fleeting years.
To every athlete who walked through our doors, every family who supported our vision, and every person who believed in what we were building—thank you from the bottom of my heart. You’ve given me memories I’ll carry with me forever.
This isn’t goodbye to cheer—just a shift in perspective, from coach to mom, and from leading a team to leading my family.
It’s my hope that our athletes look back on their time in our program with pride.

Prayers for our Ruby cheerleader, Harper!❤️
Shared from her mom:
“ I would like to make a post to update everyone as word is traveling fast.
Most of you know that Harper spent 3 very long months in the NICU at AFCH when she was born for a variety of health issues. For those that do not know, she was diagnosed with bilateral hydronephrosis, mydriasis of both eyes and a neurogenic bladder. She had heart surgery for a PDA ligation, and she also suffered a small brain bleed. These diagnoses were very scary and real, but they could not connect them to a disorder at the time despite extensive testing and following with genetics. The plan for Harper was to monitor and treat each affected body system while following specialists intently.
The past 6 months or so, Harper has been struggling with headaches that have been manageable with Tylenol. On Saturday evening, Harper developed a severe migraine and left leg weakness. On Sunday, we brought Harper to the emergency room where they completed a CT scan, and we were immediately transferred to American Family Children’s Hospital where we recieved news that will change our lives forever…
Harper suffered a large stroke on her right frontal lobe which has permanently compromised mobility in her left leg. We are devastated, scared, angry, strong, optimistic, and heartbroken. I can’t find the words to express what I’m feeling right now, and that’s ok. They are running more tests, but signs are pointing to Harper having Moyamoya disease. We will know more in the next coming days/weeks.
I am uncertain what the future will look like for us, but I do know one thing: our support system is unmatched. I will never be able to fully express my gratitude to those that are shielding us with love and support from EVERY direction. The village and army we have built is the strongest I have ever known. Here’s to moving forward together & making the most out of this little life. We never know what’s around the corner.
Pic of the angelic princess for attention. She does not deserve a single thing that she has been through, but she’s also the strongest fighter I have ever known.”

Badger Elite Cheer& Stunt is a competitive recreational cheerleading program that serves children ages 5-14 in Southwest WI and Northwestern IL. This is a not for profit youth recreational program and all coaching positions are volunteer.
Badger Elite was created by the head coach,Katie Daentl, a former competitive cheerleader of 19 years who wanted her daughter to have the same experience she had growing up with the sport of cheerleading.
Competitive cheer is a sport that isn’t very prominent in our area but is such an athletic, challenging, and rewarding sport for all ages. It allows them to develop a sense of responsibility to themselves and others, builds self-confidence and self-esteem, teaches trust and teamwork, develops friendships, teaches dedication, and improves strength, endurance, coordination and flexibility. Most importantly IT IS FUN!!!!
Our cheerleaders will participate in both sides of the sport- sideline cheering AND competition/routines.
All though practices are held in Shullsburg, WI, we accept any participant from surrounding communities. If you are able to make practice here, we are happy to have you on the team!
It’s our goal to teach the fundamentals of cheer and stunt and build upon them to grow our team(s) to be the best we can be!
